500 Point Highborn Covenant List

I'm new to the game and looking a list I want to build toward based on the models I already have and the models I want. What do you guys think?

Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios
Gudrun the Wanderer
Lady Aiyana and Master Holt
Hammerfall Shield Gun Corps x8
Horgenhold Forge Guard x8

I like the models and think that the list is fairly fluffy, as fluffy as "We'll fight if you pay us" can get.

I feel that this list protects the infantry more than the previous list and compinsates for the lowered melee hit with the addition of the Nomad and with what the Piper can do to my Forge Guard.

I think you have made the sort of army that doesn't like to throw it's solos away. What I mean by that; if you lose Eiryss and Gudrun your armies synergy may take a big hit. I like how the list is based off of Ashlynn's tool box approach. You will do well by not coming to the table with a direct plan, though the mule really makes planing impossible! I wish you had the points to make an ogrun bodygaurd appear=). You need that light on his feet melee beast in a bad way.

I always felt that the old saying "The first casualty of war is the plan" was the most brilliant quote a military strategist can use. I try to make "all comers" lists that can handle a wide variety of threats, though not some as well as others. I eventually chose Gudrun over the Bokur because Gudrun is faster and doesn't need a client close to be at his best. This lets me use him as a melee Eiryss if neccessary. Between Ashlynn and Aryana I've got loads of spellcasting options and the troops give me tough beat sticks that are made better by the toolboxs.

BTW, yes at 750 I will have the Piper of Ord (may even replace Eiryss with with him is some variant lists.)
