140 GEN Chaos Sorcerer, lev 2, MOS (chariot)
205 5x Chaos Knights, Standard , MOS
130 Chaos Chariot, MOS
6x mtd daemonettes
With my limited experience in mind. I think I would take an asp. champ. with a halberd, instead of your sorcerer, and still put him in the chariot. This gives him a 2+ AS and S6. For the points spared I would buy 6 Warhounds as another screen. The reason for this is that 4 PD doesn't get you very fare imo. Especially dwarf armies and other armies with a caster as a general will shut down your magic phase.
Just my 2 cents.. Hope it helps.
The magic may be ok, so long as you dont face a decent magic defense.
I would agree with Morthul that a Champion would be better than a Sorcerer, although not in a chariot. Put him on a steed and with the Knights.
As with the comment on the 1K list, drop the Knights Standard.
FAST SLAANESH V2 - 749
Ok, thanks to the both of you for your advice. Here is the next incarnation of the list. There are some things about this list I have never done before so i am both excited and converned about using it tomorrow in a mega-battle against lizards, forest spirits, O&Gs: First, i always used chosed; Second, i never used Exalted; Third, never did not take magic (play many games against HE); Fourth, never did not have standard on knights. Ok here is take two!
138 GEN Exalted champion, barded steed, M0S, shield
185 5x Chaos Knights, MOS
6x mtd daemonettes
Dispel Dice 2 (ouch!)
Deceiver: I may not have been clear in my point. But I agree that his sorcerer could do OK in some battles. But most armies will have ways of shielding themselves from his small power pool with low point costs. Against a dwarf host he might never get a single spell off.
Sybaris: I think I would remove one Warhounds and give your champ. a flail. That would add some punch to your knights charge. And if you really dig fielding a sorcerer, you could swap your deamonettes for another knights unit and then field a mounted sorcerer instead of your chariot (though a great model, I think it'll leg behind the rest of your army a bit anyways).
Morthul i didnt mean to disregard you, of course you are correct there, chances are the magic would be mostly nullified. Hence why i also suggested the change.
The flail would be nice, but ofcourse then you couldnt use the shield for the whole combat, so think a little about which you will use before each combat begins. May aswell drop a hound for it though, they are cheap and expendable afterall!
From there, id say this list looks fine.
