    Okay so I'm a bit of a newbie to Warhammer, only fought a handful of battles amongst friends, mostly against wood elves and lizardmen. Lost more than I've won, but haven't had enough battle experience to properly make the right choices when it comes to choices for the army itself.

    Feels to me that this is a pretty sound army for what I fight, could possibly do with some screamers or furies to deal with the ranged problems I face from skinks and those darn elves.

    May mount the Lord and been thinking about spellcasters. In terms of models I have 10 knights of nurgle from an old version of the army along with a mounted sorceror of nurgle. Also got a balrog masquerading as a daemon prince, but he's not for fighting, purely fluff purposes.



    So, what do you think? Thanks in advance for help!!

    You are correct in that the marauders cannot use Flails and Shields at the same time. Once in combat you must declare which they are using, and you must stick with the choice until the end of combat.

    You're a little hasty with Full Command. Drop the banners from the warriors, Ironguts, Knights and Bloodletters.

    Boost the Marauder unit to 20 at least, 25 if you can. drop their flails, they should be using HW/S most of the time for the extra save. they are your static combat res, everything else gets kills.

    If you have any spare points look at adding a beast herd with Champ and Music. Nice tactical unit to have, and the cheap Gors fill points well.

    Good thing I've got spare warriors and bloodletters and those Nurgle knights that I can re-paint to get rid of banners. Not actually bought the ironguts yet either so that's a relief!

    Thanks for the help! Gonna keep the flails on the Marauders, cause they look nice, just won't spend points on the flails

    Would have boosted the numbers of the Marauders (could make it 5 Gors & Ungors to allow for 18 warriors), but the availability of a beast herd was too good an opportunity for me to turn down.


    Also, just to clarify, the Exalted Champion of Slaanesh would be in the unit of Chosen Slaaneshi warriors, whilst the Aspiring Champion of Khorne would be with the unit of Marauders, at least until he runs out of the unit like an idiot.

    Drop the Shields from the Ungor, total waste of points there. Also id say loose their banner. Maje sure Gor are armed with 2xHWs.

    You could loose a few Beasts in order to get some more marauders in. Also, what Formation wil the Chaos Warriors be in? 7 wide may be a bit awkward to control and use, possibly loose 2 from that unit.

    The warriors are 6 wide with the rapturous standard being a little statue on a large monster base, 5 in the front row with the champion and then 4 in formations of 2 wide each side of the base. Spoken with those I usually battle with and they're fine with it being a counts as 2 ranks of 6 plus 1 at the back.

    The marauders are 2 ranks of 5 with the front rank being 4 with the champion.

    And I'll get rid of those shields then, just thought it'd help against skinks in the early stages of the battle.

    With added Characters in the Warrior unit though, the ''one at the back'' seems a bit pointless, so you could loose him for points elsewhere.

    Ah, perhaps not, had the items bit on the spreadsheet made wrong. 2001 with 19 marauders, 6 gors and 8 ungors heh.
