Start off by saying this is the first time I've posted an army list on a site like this, I've been playing Fantasy since the new rule book came out but only recently have got properly into it. So I decided to make a Tzeentch army. Now its too late if this is all wrong but ive done it now i can still buy more things but just like the way this army sounded. The first thing I know many people are going to say is "drop atleast one of the Units of Warriors" But at the time i couldn't think of any thing else to get I really dont like the Chaos Chariot look and i'm pretty rubbish at converting. I feel stupid writing all this, ill just write the list :
Tzeentch lord on Disk
-Mark of chaos
-Golden Eye Of Tzeentch
12 X Warriors (Axe models)
-Mark of Tzeentch
12 X Warriors (Sword Models)
-Mark of Tzeentch
12 X Warriors (Not made yet)
-Mark of Tzeentch
10 X Chosen Knights of Chaos
4 X Screamers
2 X Firewyrm
Oh, Just noticed the total is 75pts off may add a blastard standard to the knights for protection. Any suggestions are welcome.
If you are going to use Tzeentch, you need more casters in there! Get at least 2 more casters (one can be a sorceror (lvl 2) if you want to mix it up, but you neeeed more casters. Maybe an exalted champion on disk if you want it (give him the golden eye and spell familiar). I am a marauder fan aswell, but if you want a more armoured-elite they don't fit in. However I shall leave you with one last good advice: Get warhounds! You need warhounds to screen the knights! I would say 7-8 for a unit of 5 knights...

A Tzeentch list revolves around the destructive power of teh Tze magic lore, and generally one or two others too.
You really need to concentrate on your Characters. The Lord is good, add the Staff of Change (Think thats the right name..) to him aswell though. Drop the Spell Familiarm make him Lv 4 and equip a Halberd.
As for the other 3 Characters, look at using a Tze Asp Champ and a Fire Sorc. The Final slot is up to you really, but a Beast character is always a nice addition i think, Bray Shaman with the Lore of Beasts. Also this means youll kinda have to add a Beast Herd in, and thats a good thing.
The Screamers and Firewyrms are good (Id say keep the Spawn upgrade, its fluffy!)
The Warrior units are ok, though ideally you are generally better ith stuff that hits fast and hard, it goes well with the magic. However if you stay back a bit, use magic at range and charge with the warriors when they get close then that can work well also. Loose Standards from all the warrior units. Possibly give them all 2 Hand Weapons, as well as shields.
Loose the Banner from the Knights, double up on Champ and Music and run them in 2 units of 5. Far too many points wated if you use units above 6 nights strong, they are very expensive, and not worth it just for the extra wounds and rank.
Step one, four casters. In a tzeentch army...always the maximum amount of spell throwing heroes.
I like the lord setup, the disc gives some nice Line of Sight for chucking spells about (do remember that that works both ways though...)
Now, to fund those three more casters that you need, drop five of the chosen knights and the spawns, should give you 450 to play with (including the points you have spare)
Two tzeentch champions (aspiring or exalted) and a sorceror are probably the way to go. Might want to bung one of the tzxeentch champs on a disc too, but thats more of a "because I can" things.
If you can, try and get extra hand weapons for your warriors, keep the sheilds though, that way you get extra save against shooting and extra killy in combat.
Maybe drop the last warrior unit for a chariot and some spare points to play with.
Always remember, Tzeentch = Magic Overkill. Always, no exceptions, magical excessiveness.
The name refers to facial hair, not playing style.Originally Posted by A news vendor's stand, London, June 1940
Ok So I basically need more Magic? I see that would make sense. Ill take 5 of the Chosen knights out then and get me some more champions or exhalted. Where should I put them? Should I put them in the squads of blokes? Im not so sure about the bray shaman Are they actually any good? If i drop 5 of the chosen knights should i take them as normal knights? And a suggestion about the dragon I really like that idea but I mentioned earlier that I've never tried to convert something so to start my converting life with a project thats pretty big would be pretty mental is there any models for it that look half decent because i know some people arent very keen on the GW Dragons but I havent really looked at them.
Im dropping a unit of Warriors. May have to try and make a Chariot out of random bits or just buy one but i dont like the model.
Then drop 5 Chosen knights. What do i do with them put them in as normal knights or completely drop them?
Champions or exhalted which ever one i take where should they go?
Thanks for the response all
