Daemon Prince - Khorne - 370
Blood Priest - 2 scrolls - 125
- I'm set on having one, without it the theme/fluff of my army dies.
Aspiring Champ - BSB, Khorne, Sheild, Armor of Damnation - 145
(5) Knights - Chosen, Khorne, FC - 280
(14) Chosen Warriors - GW, Shields, Khorne, FC - 350
(14) Warriors - halberd, shield, FC, Khorne - 280
(2) Khorne Chariots - 230
2*(10) Marauders - flails - 140
2*(5) Hounds - 60
- Other big fluff factor, so it stays.
I'm fine with alot of different varients of changes for help, just essentially have to keep the DP (willing to drop the Khorne upgrade but not him) and the hellcannon for fluff/theme.
So tear it apart!
over all looks great but a few points i want to mention:
1. change the size of your worrior units to 11 or 17 and put them in ranks of 6 still leaveing room for a character
2. add a second scorceror and give him one of the scrolls you gave the first this adds anouther dispell dice and spreads your defence more evenly mabbee even make them lvl2 and go on the offencive
3. im verry happy to see khornate charriots in there but deploy them away from cover supporting eachouther a combined charge of both these guys will break even elite troops.
4. give the maruaders shields not flails also why dont you drop one of these units in favour of one of my above changes.
5. drop the banner on the khorne knites they souldnt need it and its verry exspencive for what it is. more points for a second scorceror?
as i said other than these small details i like it frenzy is guna realy anoy you but thats what you get when you get Khorney (a rubbish pun i know)
The big mac-daddy Daemon Prince is a lord and a hero. Tag team with the knights and maybe go mage hunting early, always seems to be the most fun
The marauders are there to hit flanks hard and be fairly expendable. Hounds block the DP on first turn or the chariots. Chariots work well together even with frenzy. If side by side the 2D6+2 S5 impact hits and the 8 S6 from crew (halberds ) and another 8 S4 from steeds is easily enough to win combat in most cases.
If you're worried about not having enough magic defense, but don't have a spare hero slot, you could drop MoK from the DP and give him a wizard level. Just an option.
Shields are for units that win with static combat res. 10 marauders won't win in static, so they're best off keeping the flails.
Overall, I like it.
Well looks interesting list to say the least, personally i cant see the fluff behind a hellcannon (as its chaos dwarf and not chaos), certainly understand the daemon prince however. The chosen warriors i would drop down to 12, really they dont need to be 15 big, chosen knights seem fine but its debatable they need more than a musician.
I personally wouldnt bother with a BSB, i would just take a normal exalted hero and then add a warbanner to the unit (the 14 strong unit that is). Warriors with heroes in however can work fine as units of 12 (really they larger size is better for those without a hero.
Chariots look good, i think again i would try and get a larger unit of Marauders, say a unit 20/25 and add you wizard here, marauder horsemen are also a good idea, this gives you a fast moving unit that can help deal with enemy wizards, art, archers, etc.
Overall not bad, just minor tweaking.
Long story short, I have a LARGE Chaos Dwarf army already. Very mech/steam punk and I have steam punk chariots with no crew yet and not painted, a steam punk "Daemon Prince" for me to use also. Essential a Chaos Tribe gets too much influence from the big hats, barters for the hellcannon and is a Kog-Khorne army (yes I know it's "cog"). Gears and the works mixed into almost every unit and it's not over the top at all, ie still has the Fantasy feel.
So HappyJim there's a very shortened and watered down summary for fluff. Like it or not what's painted is great and compliments don't stop.
Units of 10-12 don't cut it for me. Even if chosen bounce off and flee from daemons so outnumbering/flanking units are key.
To help with magic defense I'm thinking of switching the BSB's AoD for a Collar of Khorne and an Enchanted Shield? That will protect the chosen a bit more in the magic phase..
Even though there's only 10 of 'em, some opponents look at the flails and just don't like the S5 hitting them back possibility, so I think the minor intimidation and hard hitting flankers will stay
Marauder fast cav is just too expensive for me, can't fit it in. Also for my knight's it may seem a waste of points but the full command has been worth it for me. I face alot of Daemon armies and the extra point has made multiple units pop to the last daemon. Also its one of my best freehanded standards
cool on the fluff side of thing.
but it seems you were set on a list before you posted it?
but as i say its a nice list.
i would still say ranks of 6 is better as the more attackes you get the better!
i also think you sould make the prince unmarked give him a wizzard lvl and call him the deciever (he tricked the khorne worriors to folo him).
still its a nice list and plz tell me how it does play testing (also can you post some pics in the modelling forum).

When I either get arround to buying a new camera, most money's going to food, rent and warhammer atm, or if I can borrow a friend's I will gladly post.
I understand the 6 frontage.. just where to get 40 points for the chosen and 30 for the halberds? Aslo I agree with dropping the MoK on the Daemon Prince.. I either have to face him the other way or predetermine 100% that I am going to charge. But that's only 20 points and a level up is 40? Could use it to decide where to drop the another 20 points from somewhere for the 6x3 chosen
you could make the demon prince a lvl3 or 4 scorceror and drop the scroll cadie?
you would probably have to give him 1 scroll to but o well it saves a few points.
The scroll caddy is 125 points.. Making the Daemon Prince Lvl 3 is 120.. So dropping his mark and giving him 3 levels would be 100 so I get 25 to fool around with. Hellcannon used to get 50 points of magic items so either Diabolic Splendor or Spellbreaker
