All that equals to 2000 points exactly. Any comments/opinions are welcome.
Now, to explain the army: I like to think that this army is fairly self-explanatory. A Tzeentch-based combat army. While marching towards the opponent, I can use my magic to weaken their lines by taking out a few ranks. The rod of torment and banner of wrath (being bound spells) can hopefully draw away some dispel dice so the sorcerers can then go do their stuff. With a large center of chaos warriors, I can probably hold my own against most troops. The only real issue is being outnumbered. But I can use the chaos hounds to flank attack enemy units to stop me being beaten in combat. The knights, chosen and forsaken will fill specialist roles: Taking out enemy characters, tough units, etc. The forsaken and spawn will also be used to take out artillery and other small units causing me trouble. The chaos lord will be with the knights to form a very solid unit, capable at just about anything. The sorcerers will stay out of combat, and they'll linger behind my warriors helping out with their magic when they can. Hopefully by the time the enemy reaches my line, they'll be too weak from my magic to hold off my chaos warriors.
Any ideas on how to make forsaken would be very appreciated.
Your army is Fairly Rock solid for 2000pts.
I like the Cheap and Chearful lord. can you not scrape together some points for a talisman of protection? It'll give him a 5+ Ward save.
Forsaken...hmm.... Not got any of the original Plastic chaos warriors lying around i suppose?
You could perhapse convert the new Possessed marines and fantasifty them with chaos knight bits? you kind of want them running pell mell towards the enemy so the normal warrior legs wont really do. but the Knight torso's are ideal for converting with other bits and bobs. The possessed Marine Heads would be ideal too.
Scaly skin on hounds? Is it really worth it??
Hope Christmas was good, I went down to my local GW today and I asked about forsaken(largely on how to make them). One of the guys there collects chaos and he said to get some chaos warriors, a spawn kit(or left over bits, whatever) and some greenstuff. He said to just make the chaos warriors as if they have 2 hand weapons, but then change one of their arms for a tentacle or something similar. To represent the heavy armour instead of the chaos armour(which is better), he said to put some greenstuff on their legs or chest and just make it look like there are areas of flesh exposed( as if the armour has fallen off when frenzied). Hope that sounds okay.
I think its pretty good. Couple of things though.
If you are trying to go cheap on your general then just go with an exalted champion. Barley different stat wise and a hell of a lot cheaper. I think this is important as if you arn't going to use the 100pt limit then its a waste of a lord character. Especially in a tzeentch list a sorc lord seems far more appropriate.
Not huge on the banner of rage. That's a big old block of death with the lord that can be led astray a whole game. I'd give the unit the blasted standard for something fluffy or none at all.
5 chosen really arn't worth it. I get what you're going for but they are easily killed through combat res and easily avoidable with such a small block. Just drop them or bump them up to a fighting level 12.
As a previous poster mentioned there really is no reason to put scaly skin on the hounds. That is 10pts that could be put elsewhere.
"Dare to be Naive"
If someone helps you, or you just like what they say, rep them
your lord has no need for MoT why not swap it for MoN of MoK
Keep the 5 chosen, these guys (being only a unit of 5) could be used tou guard a sorcerer (as i always do to great effect) or to chop down weak units of zombies or skinks or other lightly (or none) armoured enemies. these guys could also act as a decoy or just to hold up cavalry.

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
