Welcome to Librarium Online!
I have been playing with cavalry lists and wondered what yall thought of this one. It would be pretty scary I think but may be a little light on models
-Axe of Khorne
3X5 Marauder Horsemen
-Banner of Rage
-Musician and standard bearer
-Lord goes with this group
Musician and Standard bearer
Wow 4 units of Knghts. thats going to be harsh lol..
I like that army. The hounds are needed! To protect all those expensive models from shooting, for baiting, for flank charging.
It's light on models, yes. But it's not light on Units. You have 13 units in 2k. Thats quite alot for out manuvering, flanking, capturing quaters you name it.
Have you used it yet?
Yeah, I'd be interested in how this turns out for you. I think you have way too many dogs. Maybe make them 3 units of 10? Don't know.
I would say you might have problems verse rank and file, but last weekend a nurgle knight unit for me got charged in the front by 20 ironbreakers (yes I know embarrassing) and over 4 rounds of combat won.

Well I havnt tried it. Im at college right now and playing baseball too so I am mainly painting on my free time and theorizing lists and strats. Just thought this would be a simple and fun list that moves fast.
I'm trying to figure out if I want to continue buying models to build a foot slogger army or a cavalry army. I've heard WoC can be out-manuvered easily if they use foot soldiers so thats why I toyed by making this list.
I just thought 4 units of knights would be devastating. No chance at killing too many with all the hounds either. And hard hitting horsemen can be a threat too. I know its a lot of hounds but i thought I'd keep a few in the rear with maybe a horsemen unit to stop my knights from being flanked. If I take this list more seriously I might be inclined to get a chariot. For a fast moving army like this is a scroll caddy needed?
4 units of knights is amazing!! ive used 3units of 5 in 2000points but never 4! if you want to focus on the fast moving chaos force you need to have lost of units of hounds and marauder horsemen.
I like using in 2000pts
exalted champ - demonic steed
sorcerer - demonic steed
2 units of 10 knights
3 units of Marauder horsemen - normally with shield, throwing axe, musician
3 dragon Ogres
and a chariot
You can play around with marks and stuff but it doesnt need it really, it hits like a hammer in the face!
All i have to say is this the minute i see this army put on the table and im using empire or lizards or anything lore of metal is my lore, u will get annihilated by magic. You have two scrolls and 3 dispell dice as well as three casting dice. Its going to be tough to handle an army of VC like i run with 12 casting dice, or even Tzeentch Mortals with 10 casting dice, or a Slaan List with 10, because i will magic missle you all day long and if u find a nurgle army be prepaired to get Bouboised alll day long it will knickle and dime you until a unit flanks you or hits you head on and smashes through
Im not trying to destroy your list but magic will eat you alive
Ya true. Ill probably just stick with my more balanced list then. This was just a quick idea I had.
You can make a mostly cav army work but u need infantry to screen for your heavy hitters, a few adjustments it could be a killer army!
To get round magic defence, instead you could take 2 Exalteds instead of the lord. Give one the Favour of Khorne thingy. That gives him and the unit his with +2 Magic res, ok he can't take Magic items but if he's on a steed with a flail he's nails enough as he is with nothing. The other one you can Kit up with the Collar of Khorne to give another unit Magic resistance 2.
Give him Armour of Zhrak to make him imune to killing blow, a Jugger and what ever else takes your fancy and he's pretty rocking. easily able to mash other hero's or lords
That way you've got 2 nasty hero's buffing up your knight units rather than 1.
AND 2 of your knight units have Magic Res ontop of your scrolls etc.
Well, thats my pondering anyway.
