Welcome to Librarium Online!
This is an idea I got on how to make a workable army from 2 battalion boxes. Please give your thoughts on the composition and the characters.

Exalted Hero; Mark of Khorne, Fury of the Blood God, Chaos Steed, Shield, Flail [170 pts]

Chaos Marauders(24); Mark of Nurgle, Shields, Light Armour, Full Command [194 pts]
Chaos Marauders (15); Mark of Khorne, Great Weapons [105 pts]
Chaos Warriors (14); Mark of Nurgle, Shields, Halberds, Full Command [298 pts]
Chaos Warriors (11); Mark of Khorne, Shields, Additional Hand Weapons, Full Command [247 pts]
Chaos Warhounds (4 x 5); [xxx pts]
Chaos Knights (5); Mark of Khorne, Full Command; [260 pts]
Chaos Knights (5); Mark of Nurgle, Full Command, Banner of Rage [295 pts]
Grand Total: 2494 pts
The idea is that the Chaos Sorcerer go solo, the Exalted Hero of Khorne goes with the Khornate Knights and the Exalted hero of Nurgle goes with the Chaos Warriors of Khorne. The Sorcerer Lord goes with the Marauders of Nurgle.
The Warhounds shield both units of Knights who are frenzied so they doesnt run off, the same with the Marauders of khorne, but mostly to shield them from missile fire. The Warriors form the anvils and the Knights finish off as the hammers.

"The more choices you force the opponent to make, the better the chance for you to capitalize on his mistakes"
looks like a good list to start out with, youll see the weaknesses in your first few games, my advice, play against experienced players, and don't fall prey to your knights running off after fast cavalry!
