With so much choice of fast units i thought about making a mounted/ fast army
ok here it goes:
3 x 5 marauder horseman
2 x 4 dragon ogres
with great weapons
Yes the army is (incredibly) small but it hits (incredibly) hard.
Please tell me what you think of it.
Ohh and by the way I'm probably only going to use it against DE
Wow, 3 Shaggoths on 1 army, looks pretty sweet
I don't have anything to add really. I think it looks sweet. Give it a go with proxies before you fork out the cash though!
Now this is a true monster mash. I love it. It would hit like a ton of bricks as well as being an absolute pain to deal with. I think I will wait for the new dragon ogre models to come out before I do go this route.
You can convert some using Ogres and the new Coldones - I've seen it done to pretty good effect.
Hmmmmm.......I might actually give that a go. It all depends on time really and what other stuff I have to do.
All i can say is "do it!!! DO IT!!!"
For the Marauder horsmen you could make 'juvenile' Dragon ogres, use the new Dark elf cold ones and marauder torso's for 'baby dragon ogres'
I've seen someone use plastic ogres and the lizardmen cold ones as they're chunkier, they worked pretty well.
Please put pics of this army up lol
Don't know, probably when the beast of chaos are released
Alas i heard not. Infact i heard that Beasts were loosing the dragon ogres all together!!!
Including Shaggoths and trolls.
I've been waiting for new Dragon ogre models for over a decade........
Firstly, the rumour tells that dragon ogres will be excluded in the new beasts of chaos army book.
Secondly, if there will be new Dragon Ogres, they will probably come in the second release of the Warriors of Chaos. That will probably be at least 6 months after their first release date.
This might even be possible. If they make a Kholek model, I think they'll follow him up with some Dragon Ogres. The Shaggoth model is still relatively new and a very nice bloke altogether so he will prolly stay.
But these are all rumours still.
Theres an economic crisis, so expensive new models are maybe not the highest priority.
Plastics are very expensive to make molds for, and Dragon Ogres might be considered high risk. Not many of us here use them, so why should they make expensive molds that produce models that noone will buy.
