I'm looking for points to fit a Dispel scroll in, but i have no idea where to cut points. I took a MoN DP rather than a MoT one cause i like the LoN much better, i think it has better overall spells, yes IG is really good, but all our opponents know to save scrolls or dispel dice for it, and even when they do let it go through, its very, very random. Also not sure if i should take a Slanneshi Chariot rather than the Warshrine, thoughts on this would be nice.

    General tactics:

    1. Drive the DOs into the largest, deadliest, meaniest mother****ers the other general has, plant the bsb behind them, and hold that unit in place until i can get a unit into the side of it and be sure i can win the combat, as well as (if able) cast curse of the leper on it to make it easier to kill.

    2. Marauder Horse go up the flanks, throw axes, flee, rinse and repeat, if that use isn't there, ill fling em into a flank and hope they kill something in the first round of combat.

    3. Knights do what knights do best and kill anything they can get their hands on.

    4. Dogs screen the frenzied knights until i wanna let em loose, Marauders are just 10 extra wounds for the Sorc, and a 3rd core choice.

    5. Warshrine will buff up the DO's, or if a knight unit is in trouble, give them a boost; it will also act as a 2nd anvil if needed.

    6. The Magic Phase will generally go like this: 3 dice at Buboes from each caster to kill off BSB's, mages etc, followed by 3 dice at either R,GR or COTL if it seems useful at the time.

    7. I'll also use the BSB as a mobile chariot popper, so long as it won't leave him out in the open after.

Any suggestions on the army, tactics or otherwise would be great. I'm open to any suggestions.

Fire at will Guys, Let me know what you think.

    Thanks,

    Alex.

P.s. Yes Pinkus, it's almost identical to your list.

If you're hard at points, try to bring just Khornate Knights without additinal upgrades.
They win combat through kills, so no point in bringing anything else, although a musician is useful to save that Frenzy.
That will save you around 55 points to play around with

And just an idea, while having 16 S5 attacks is great, maybe fit the Dragon Ogres with Great Weapons instead. While they lose out 4 attacks, those S7 attacks they dish out might be useful against big, tough, monsters, like Steam Tanks, War Alter, and occasional chariots. Since they will mostly be hitting last anyway (I2) you don't lose out on ASL.

Mine got smacked down 1 trurn. Though i rolled bad. If you can, roll 4, but 3 will be suffient most of the times.

For the rest nice list. You will have to pin units with your dragons because you dont really have anything else. Though, don't forget the daemon! He stubborn and also good in pinning units down. Enough time to get you khornies into position and tear the unit to shreds.

You might want to roll 1 unit normal because khorne is hard to control (at least, i had trouble doing so ) Nurge, banner, warbanner will win most combats to.

Also don't be afraid to try chariots.

If i take chariots, i'll have to take out either a unit of knights or the DOs, since one chariot isn't usually enough, i would have to take two.

you can put the mounted sorcerer on a chariot for less than a regular chariot would cost, and it works pretty well, your not supposed to have a chariot stay in combat for longer than 1 phase anyway.
Give the sorcerer the blasted amulet for additional "impact" hits, helps you take out more models on the charge.

Alright, but is it worth it to drop some marks, and the warshrine to get two chariots? If i do that i lose an anvil, something this army lacks, other than the dragon ogres i've got nothing to tarpit units, although with two chariots it gains a lot more hitting power.

Here's a sample list if i add chariots, i figured i'd need more killing power if im dropping the MoK on the knights to make room for the chariots, so i added a pretty stripped exalted on a chariot:

1 Daemon Prince of Nurgle @ 490 Pts
Mark of Nurgle; General; Magic Level 4

1 Exalted Hero of Tzeentch @ 299 Pts
Mark of Tzeentch; Flail; Chaos Armour; Shield; Battle Standard
    Banner of the Gods

1 Chaos Sorcerer of Nurgle @ 320 Pts
Mark of Nurgle; Level 2; Chariot
    Dispel Scroll
    Book of Secrets

    1 Exalted Hero of Slannesh@ 234 Pts
Mark of Slannesh; Chariot; Flail; Shield

    5 Marauder Horsemen @ 86 Pts
    Flail; Throwing Spears; Musician
