    750pts starter list (campaign) help needed

    Well, after a nice 40k campaign, it's time to start a fantasy one We'll be restricted to 750pts for the first few games, with one hero slot and 2 core choices required. Sadly, I've got very few ideas for the list itself, and being relatively new to Fantasy, I've no idea what works and what doesn't in small games.

    My idea so far is:

    Chaos Sorcerer, lvl2, Dispel scroll, MoN, total 165pts

    Core:

    20x marauders
    Musician
    Standard bearer
    flails
    Light armour
    MoS

    total: 142pts

    12x warriors
    Shields
    musician
    standard bearer
    rapturous standard

    total: 238 pts

    5x warhounds, 30pts

    5x Marauder Horsemen
    Flails
    Shields
    MoK

    Total; 110

    Grand Total: 685


    The warriors seem pretty expensive and I'm not really sure wheter they're worth the many points in a small game.......but I do love my tinmen of doom Iwas looking at maybe flinging in a level 1 sorcerer by downgrading my warriors a bit, or perhaps souping up my level 2 a bit. Are muscians/standards worth it?

    First off the MoK horsemen shouldnt have shields. If you want to give them some armore Id recommend LA so you can still get the benefit in close combat.

    Also Id do your hero like this

    Sorcerer-190
    -Level 2
    -MoT
    -Book of Secrets
    -Power familiar

    He is gonna have 6 PD to use. Flickering Fire, Fireball, and another MoT spell is pretty good for these small games. He should do good damage.

    ...what he said.

    Give warriors MoS and halberds, to kill something big.

    Perhaps give Marauders great weapons and/or shields instead?

    I'd like to throw one or two spawns in there, they are ideal to hold flanks and in small games they work wonderful.

    Anyways, not sure what I was thinking of when I did the horsemen, they got la instead of shields now Added in some halberds for the warriors, added another 5 hounds and changed sorcerer to :


    Sorcerer:
    Lvl 2
    MoT
    Golden Eye
    Disc

    Total: 180

    Now, forgot to mention that we're limited to 50pts of magic items, depending on what territories we roll. The golden eye will be switched out with a BoS when I'm not facing the empire general with his hochland long rifle

    Now, I'm mainly concerned that I lack some real punch in the list, but not sure what to change to get it?

    I'd take buboes against his long rifle any day. Your warriors can kill things easily, so you shouldn't need magic for it. But that means no disc.

    Chaos knights at this point level just dominate things and I don't see the need for the hounds.

    Having played a few games, I decided to ditch my warriors (as much as it pains me )as they're simply to slow to do much good against most armies. I've still got a bunch of points to play with, but not sure what to add or drop, so any help would be appreciated
