Here i am, at the top of the food chain in a Mighty Empires campaign, with only 1 person capable of beating me... so of course he challenged me. Whoever wins this battle, wins the campaign.
I'm not an overly competitive person, but I'm looking to obliterate this poor fella. I have played him once in the past (during this Mighty Empires campaign) and scored a Massacre. I wiped every model of his off the board. Now that being said.. he is expecting my "all nurgle list" against his "not-so-shooty skaven" army.
This guy runs a unit of 5-6 jezzails, and one, maybe two casters - none over level 2. Those are the least of my worries.
So anyhow... I have 2250 points to play with, and here is what I came up with. It is a slight variation of what I beat him with before, except less nurgle, more smashy.
2250 - Mighty Empires - Final Round
Chaos Lord of Khorne
Exalted Hero of Khorne
-Axe of Khorne
Sorcerer of Tzeentch
Throgg, the Troll King
Marauders of Khorne x14
-Flails, Light Armor, Shield
*Exalted hero goes here
Chaos Hounds x5
Chaos Hounds x5
Chaos Warriors of Nurgle x11
-HW, XHW, Shield
*Chaos lord goes here
Chaos Warriors of Nurgle x10
-HW, XHW, Shield
Marauder Horsemen of Khorne x5
-Flail, Light Armor
Chaos Knights of Nurgle x5
Chaos Chariot
Chaos Giant of Slaanesh
Side notes: I am usually a very 'friendly' player.. so I decided to make a more 'fun' list than normal. This seems like a fun mix of "you have HOW many attacks?!" and "Whoa, that giant just fell on my plague monks" to it..
- 1 unit of hounds will shield the warrior squad with the lord.
- 1 unit of hounds will shield the knight unit
- the chariot will run along side the knights
- the giant will just wreak havoc and cause distraction while i get in his face (plus he admits he doesnt know how to handle a giant, woohoo!)
- Other units will smash face, and take names. (or so i hope)
Other potential options - I can remove the giant completely to add 2 spawns, increase both warrior units to 12 men each, go up to 15 marauders, or add another 15 man marauder unit all together. I also have 1 other caster, but the list I'm going against is not magic heavy at all....
C+C Welcome. This game will take place tomorrow evening at 5pm CST.
I will try and get some sort of battle report. If not that.. then at least the results.
Thanks in advance.

1 lvl2 wizard doesn't seem like it will actually do anything useful. Same with the LA on the horsemen.
The giant is a massive point sink that I just can never justify. Your army seems somewhat small, that might be the reason.
However I don't have much experience against skaven, so I am just giving you my general tips.

I agree that the Giant is a huge point sink, but I feel like being courageous and using him. Hopefully it turns out well. I chose the tzeentch sorcerer because i wanted a little magic (since he won't have much in the way of dispel dice). Plus if I can pull off an Infernal Gateway or something.... that's just winsauce.
