Ok so I am fairly new to the Warriors but I have now had a few games under my belt and I have decided to go with a beasty list. here is what I came up with for the tournament in July, Im hoping it will be more competitive than my skaven.
tendrils of tzeentch
acid ichor (I had 15 points left over and nothing to spend it on)
rod of torment
4 dragon ogres
ok so Im approaching this army like how I approach my skaven army in terms of tactics. because I am so outranked I use my ubermagic to blow up some ranks before I get into combat. My daemon prince is going to be warmachine hunting, or protecting my rear from getting march blocked etc. all while hes blowing things up. My lvl 1 casters are simply there for flicker, they are going to use only one die to try and cast, and I should get it off most of the time. Once I get into combat I dont think I will have too much trouble, my trolls can take on heavy cav with ease, and should be able to take on some block infantry as long as I get to strike first and dont wiffle, my regen has always come in handy in those special cases though. Dragon ogres are pretty straight forward, they crash into a unit with immense strength and my giant will be able to sit in combat with a couple elite units, and if he gets flank charged he will be able to strike before the other unit. What do you guys think, I have yet to try it out.
