Welcome to Librarium Online!
I've been in 40k for 6 years or so, but I was lured into Fantasy by a combination of my impulsive buying tendencies and the wicked looks of Chaos.
I was wondering if you all could help me out: I've been looking around in the forum for quite some time, but only decided to make a post of my own, now:
Here's my list so far, at 1182 points. I'm trying to shoot for 1250 or maybe a solid 1500. I'm open to suggestions!!
1 Chaos Sorcerer (With Warriors) ((155))
Blood Curdling Roar
1 Exalted Hero (With Marauders) ((180))
5 Warhounds ((XX))
5 Warhounds ((XX))
5 Marauder Horsemen ((110))
11 Chaos Warriors (Sorcerer goes here) ((256))
19 Marauders (Exalted goes here) ((136))
Musician and SB
5 Knights ((285))
Banner of Rage
Trying to keep with a balanced list, doesn't necessarily need to be competitive, I'm just in it to have fun. Not trying to go magic heavy (obviously), just trying to keep the characters protected in big blocks of infantry while they dish out pain, and flank with cav.
Criticism welcomed, this is my first list I've ever posted on here! It's great to be part of LO.
Thank you in advance.

I like it so far, good infantry blocks, Knights, coming along well. Some suggestons:
1) Mount the Characters up on Steeds. Better save, doesn't effect their ability to join the units they want, and an extra attack.
2) Drop the Roar. It won't do much for the points you're paying.
3) It may be worth squeezing a Champion onto the Marauders. Normally I wouldn't bother, but it'll protect him (thanks to the FAQ) from an unwanted challenge (sometimes, you're better off hacking away at rank and file, rather than one unkillable guy).
4) As for expansion, more infantry, more Knights, Dragon Ogres, Hellcannon or Giant, all these make for good stuff. Write up a list, to the points level you want, and see how you go. I find it easier with someone's list in front of me
If you're going magic light, and that's cool, I'd be getting some combat characters in to make up for it. Doing both at the same time just puts too many points in characters, but a scoll caddy or two backed by some big combat guys is workable. Maybe make someone a BSB a bit later.

Thanks for your response, Tim! I'll keep your advice in mind.
