Welcome to Librarium Online!
Sorry, no real story or perticular reason for this list, i just woke up today and thought of this, let me know what you think of it
Lvl 4 sorceror lord
skull of katam
third eye of tzeetch
talisman of protection
rod of torment (just great against elves XD!)
3x 20 marauders
MoS (MoS since i cannot always get the charge, and by striking and killing first keeping him alive longer)
okay, here's the general idea:
the 3 blocks of marauders in the middle, with spawns paired up between them or on the flank, the spwans i want to use to stop the eneymy in front of my marauders and for keeping the enemy busy while my small force of sorcerors start on the right or left flank and start detroying units completely with their combined flickering firepower. The marauders move forward a little
So... Please tell me what you think!
What about terror? You've got LD8 at the peak; think of a Keeper of Secrets, a nasty, nasty fellow. I'd make those marauders Slaanesh or Khorne. Though with khorne they'd be massacred in the first round of combat vs. KoS and then you'd be in the same boat. I'd bulk up maurader units and give them HW's and shields with MoS.
ok, seems like a better plan
hmm, about the keeper of secrets, well.. i never encountered one, dont exactelly know what they do, but don't worry too much about the marauders, it's the wizzards i gotta keep alive and rollin', they're worth a little bit more than 1000 points XD
but yeah, thanks for the advice, i'll definately try it out
anyway, somebody got more ideas for this army? maybe something about the sorcerors?
hey, i play a similar kind of list. they are heaps of fun if a little bit cheesy.
I have a few things to suggest about the sorcerers.
1. your lord is very poorly protected, one cannonball and you lose him. i would definitely consider givinging him the golden eye.
2. please give someone in your army the book of secretes. its a fantastic item for mages and since you have the infernal puppet its not particuarly dangerous to your mage.
3.you shouldnt really need dispel scrolls imo. you have 7 dd. you will dominate most magic phases. i think these points could be better spent.
4. why does your lord need third eye. he already has 4 spells from a very versatile lore, he is very rarely gonna find someone whose spells he would rather cast. if you want the third eye give it to one of the lvl 2's.
5. give someone the bloodcurdling roar for more firepower and anitknights.
other than that. personally i prefer the skull on someone else cause i like to give the lord a spell familiar to halve the chance of not knowing gateway. i play my lord with golden eye, enchanted shield, spell familiar and the rod of torment. obviously thats just me. by no means an ideal build but i find it is usually effective, unless people cast spells that ignore armour and are not missles cause then the lord is very vunerable.
hellcannons work well with this type of force. gives u even more firepower plus and if u roll a Thzzzz on the misfire all wizards suffer a miscast which is so much fun with a puppet.
good luck with it!!
thanks, yeah, the lord should get the golden eye instead of the tird eye (to be honest, i think thatas what i wanted in the first place but while writting i must have accidently switched XD)
As for the dispel scrolls, yeah ok, i could indeed lose 1 scroll, but i really dont want to give up the other with so many heavvy magic (vampire and demon and DE...) forces on the loose.
And the hellcanon, well, i just think they're too expensive, and dont really fit in my plan, i mean, sure i can blow up stuff but i doesnt give the rest of my army a boost to do their part of the job,
Thanks for the advice, i'll make the chances, though i dont know where i could fit in the blood curdling roar, but i'll check if i can squize it in somewhere.
