i just want to put this list out to see what you lot think, as some of you may have seen my other post before, my army is based around the idea of a 'roman' army so a lot of chaos warriors are included. but otherwise comments are welcome!

See if you can squeaze the enchanted shield on this boy. It's only 5pts more than the normal shield so it seems silly not too.
Sorcerers look good. Personally i'd be a bit twitchy about not having a dispel scroll or two sitting there. They're very handy to have knocking about, especially with the uber spells in the new Edition.
Grab your warriors halberds or something. 2 str 4 attacks is nasty but not that nasty. Make use of your attacks and up them with additional hand weapons or Halberds to slice through units. You win by killing things, so equip your boys to do just that!!
Marauders are ok and a decent flanking unit. I'm not sure you need them though as you've got 3 big blocks of warriors. Maybe use the points for some more horsemen or maybe another Hero?
Knights really don't need to be this big. I'd either knock this unit down to 6 strong or split it int two untits of 5. If you lost 4 knights you'd have enough to put a Hero with them or enough for a chariot or warshrine to buff your warriors up.
It looks good overall. I'd start thinking about breaking your army up into the new percentages so it conforms to the 8th Edition. You might as well make sure your army fits with these now rather than ditching units you're going to buy now.

thanks for the comments, on the subject of the extra weapons for the warriors i'll have to think about it as i am still not convinced- ok extra attacks but no shield bonus and halberds well +1 strength ok, but again no shield bonus and i don't want to be axed in the face (and you have to buy them seperatley!). and overall i like to be able to survive for longer and the shield bonus is always handy. On the subject of the knights, they maybe overkill but they are a big fluffy unit and are likley to kill anything they charge.
anyway i'll have to get some gaming experience in first to make any proper conclusions (when the 1500 points i have got is fully built) so this is more of a 'where i want to go' kind of thing and with the percentages i think i am well under the limits anyway.

In 8th ed this should be fine, in 7th it really isnt going to do much, i would drop the book of secrets and take two dispel scrolls, in 8th i would drop the power familiar and give the sorcerer chaos runesword.Up the unit to 17 strong and give them banner of Rage, halberd, insert wizard here15 chaos warriors- full command, shields, mark of nurgle- 300make unit 17 strong again, Halberd, Rap standard, wizard here15 chaos warriors- full command, shields, mark of slaanesh- 280You dont need that many chaos warriors in a unit, drop them to 17 and give them a warbanner, warbanner is cheaper than 16 chaos warriors with shields, give them additional hand weapons or halberd23 chaos warriors*- full command, shields, mark of khorne- 428I would amke these guy 25 big with MoS in 7th ed and 30 strong with MoT in 8th20 chaos maraudrers- full command, light armour, shields- 140I would give them MoS in 7th so they cant be baited as easily, in 8th i would make the unit 10 strong5 maraudrer horsemen- full command, light armour, flails, mark of khorne- 140Fine5 warhounds- 30

i have kept the knights as i really like the unit for fluff reasons, as well as providing a body guard for the lord.
any more comments?
