Welcome to Librarium Online!
This is more of a tournament list than a friendly one. Anyway my goal is to achieve a balanced list that can handle any army and that has potential in all the phase of the game.
Chaos Lord: MoT, Shield, Axe of Khorne, Dragonhelm, Talisman of Preservation: 330 pts
Exalted Hero: MoT, Shield, BotG, Stream of Corruption: 295 pts
-- Stream of corruption is a little surprise for CC. This sort of gives him an extra edge.
Sorcerer: MoT, Lvl2, Spell familiar, Charmed shield, Third Eye: 185 pts
-- The new lores are sweet, but for a lvl2 I still prefer having +3 to cast and trying to get Pandemonium. If all else fail, I still have Third Eye to rely on my opponent spell.
23 Marauders: MoS, Full command, Shield: 145 pts
-- Had to cut in pts and this is where I did. The sorcerer goes here, I just don't care if the unit blows up.
18 Chaos Warriors: MoS, Full Command, Blasted Standard, Shield: 368 pts
-- The BSB unit, has extra shooting protection.
18 Chaos Warriors: MoS, Full Command, Warbanner , Shield: 353 pts
-- The Lord unit, sits next to the BSB for BotG effect.
6 Chaos Knights: musi, std, Banner of Rage: 305 pts
-- Meat grinders, highly effective and easily restrained with Ld9 + re-roll
-- Better than ever and our only shooting weapon. I still expect to shoot max 1-2 turns and then stomp with it.
--- --- ---
- The list has 7 breakpoints and no unit his more then 3.
- A BSB inside a unit of 18 Chaos Warriors with MoS and Blasted Standard is a strong setup to hold the Watchtower.
- 8 deployment units, it's a little bit low but even if I get flanked most of my unit should be ok.
Banner of the gods was already an overpriced mediocre item in the last edition, but this edition it has already lost everything it is worth. If you want to be stubborn those points are better off spent upgrading the size of your units to not only give you stubborn, but to deny it to your opponent.
I also think mos really isnt worth it to take anymore. I say go khorne for warriors and tzeentch for marauders.
BotG's was well worth its points in 7th. In my gateway army, it won more games for me than gateway did. BotG + DrOgres is just wrong.
The problem I have with it is how I'm used to playing it. Putting it on a disc rider and flying it to the combats that I need to stick. Now with true line of sight the blasted disc rider is my tallest model, so I can't hide him anyways.

Crown of command might be a good alternative to BotG. I used to try having two chaos warriors unit stubborn as my main attack line. Now I will only have one, but my BSB can now take magic items.
A new char setup could be:
Chaos Lord: MoT, Halberd, Dragonhelm, Talisman of Preservation, Crown of Command
-- Loses KB and 2+ sv. With the halberd he still has S6 and he gets 3+/3++ Sv
Exalted Hero: MoT, shield, Talisman of Endurance, Sword of Might
-- Gains 4++ Sv, and he is now S6.

If you want both your warrior units to be a rock then there are a few combinations open to you. One of which is obviously the Crown of Command. The second is to put the Rapturous Standard on the unit that isn't stubborn. With the BSB re-roll they just need to roll a single one on any of those 4 dice and you're safe. Plus any doubles are good too.
Your Knight unit with your Lord in really doesn't need to be stubborn. It shouldn't be loosing any combats you put it into and have a good enough movement for you to pick your fights anyway.
