Whatcha think? I've been quite successful with this list, and am having a lot of fun with it even though I know it would probable be a better option to change the warriors to a flail marauder horde. Cheers!
Ahh miss typed the BSB, hes got the 3+ ward. Talisman of PRESERVATION, my bad. And I didn't realise we didn't have access to the lore of shadow on hero level casters? I thought it was heavens that the lord levels can have.
Yeah I know the prince isn't in any way optimal, but I like the model and am interested in trying it out. Cheers for the advice on that one.
The BSB goes in the banner of rage knight unit, the sorcerer goes in the marauder block.I like the iron curse idea, will give it a whirl.
Cheers for the feed back.
Ah no worries.
Level 2 sorcerers only get access to Death and Fire which is really restrictive. You can take a Level 1 Sorcerer, give him the book of secrets, a spell familiar and the Mark of Tzeentch. This way he's getting +2 to cast and knows two Shadow Lore spells but rocks in at a huge 145pts and you're getting nothing funky. Plus you then can't take the Puppet which is handy for your Prince.
Infact scrap the Sorcerer, you might aswell give all that to an Exalted Champion. Then he can have a Steed, the Dragon helm and a halberd.....not a bad build for a BSB actually.
The Daemon Prince is fine and I know people like using them. I just don't like them and I haven't had sucess with them in this Army book. Models are still cool though, especially the Belakor one.
I want to share my first time I fielded a demon prince.
*start of turn, enemy has the first turn*
*doomwheel rides 3D6 across the field, shoots 3 lightning bolts with multiple wounds at my demon prince, it dies*
Yeah, it died before it could do ANYTHING.
Its a good character but it cant join units so watch out, making it a lv 4 sorcerer puts a extra big red mark on its forhead. And if you use it for casting, you dont need the muscle. If you want defence on your caster I suggest talisman of preservation (and maybe mark of tzeench? if you like the lore). gives him a 4+ (3+ with MoT) ward save.
