    2500 Balanced List

    Well this is the list I'm aiming towards now (kinda half painted at the moment) would just like some critique (and help with my dilemma)

    Lords:
    Sorc Lord - MoT, lvl 4, Disk, BCR, Golden Eye of Tzeentch, Crimson Armour of Dargan, Blood of Tzeentch - 425pts

    Heroes:
    Exalted - MoT, BSB, Halberd, Talisman of Preservation - 194pts
    Exalted - MoT, Steed, Halberd, Talisman of Endurance - 170pts
    Sorceror - MoT, lvl 2, Dispel Scroll, Third Eye of Tzeentch - 190pts

    Special:
    6 Knights - MoT, Standard, Musi, Banner of Rage - 320pts
    4 Dragon Ogres - Great Weapons - 308pts

    Rare:
    Warshrine - MoT - 150pts

    Not Counted:
    5 Warhounds - xxpts
    5 Warhounds - xxpts

    For the Core, I have a dilemma, Its one of the below options, but I cant decide which one is more effective...

    Option 1:
    11 Warriors - MoK, Halberds, Standard, Musician - 224pts
    11 Warriors - MoK, Additional Hand Weapons, Standard, Musician - 224pts
    12 Warriors - MoK, Halberds, Standard - 234pts

    Option 2:
    11 Warriors - MoK, Halberds, Standard, Musician - 224pts
    11 Warriors - MoK, Additional Hand Weapons, Standard, Musician - 224pts
    12 Warriors - MoT, Shields, Standard, Musician - 230pts
    Shield for BSB

    Option 3:
    18 Warriors - MoK, Halberds, Standard, Musician - 336pts
    18 Warriors - MoK, Additional Hand Weapons, Standard, Musician - 336pts
    shields for both exalteds

    Option 1 & 2 are pretty much the same, just swapping a halberd unit for a HW/S unit for use as an anvil, the lvl 2 sorc would join the halberd unit, and the BSB the AHW unit bringing them both up to 12 men

    Its option3 that's causing me the dilemma, 2 blocks of 18 provide more resilience to shooting (and anything with ASF), but it loses a lot of tactical options that the other 2 options provide (an additional banner for that scenario, another unit to deploy, may cause opponent to split fire more, etc...)

    I think option 3 is the best, just because of the amount of punishment shooting is likely to do. Also larger blocks really benifit from the warshrine. I would try to give each bunkered hero some magic resistance too and iron curse icon for the Tzeentch warriors. Little things like that will pay off big time as you cross the field. Maybe MoT/Shields/Rapturous and MoN/Halberds/Rage for each block.

    You still have your knights and DrOgres for manouvering, and shrine makes a protecting unit against flank/rear attacks. Knights could have better combos I think: MoT/Blasted-Standard would be well worth it for 6 knights and an Exalted.

    I'd put your Lord with your warriors, and have a lower level guy on the disk too.
