This is my first post on the website, making up a chaos army, not played Warhammer in ages and not with the new rules. Thought I may show you guys what I was thinking to start off with to expand later.
Exalted hero, basic with shield. 115
10 chaos worriers, full command, shields. 190
15 marauders, full command, great weapons. 95
5 marauder horsemen , full command, shields. 100
What do you think? Seams pritty standard, still got a bit to make before I can play. For this army I promised my self I would not expand until I painted everything...will have to see how that goes, but ye is there anything I am missing. My mates plays dwarfs and empire but good selection of other armies played in the local workshop.
Was not sure if a sorcerer would work better in the place of the exalted hero and maybe swapping one of the full commands for a unit to have a little extra maybe a mark or magic items for my hero.
Definately go for a Sorcerer instead. It's only 85 points, and you gain a whole magic phase [although I'd go for a lvl2 with spell familiar/charmed shield - 140 points].
I would drop all the champions and give the warriors MoT, a 5+ parry save is awesome. Also for such a small block of marauders, swapping greatweapons for flails would do better since they have nice INI.
I don't use horsemen myself, but ranged light-cavelry would give this little army more flexibility.
