Welcome to Librarium Online!
I currently own 10 Knights, 24 Warriors, 20 Marauders, and 10 Warhounds. I am going to be purchasing some characters soon (I have been proxying them so far) and could use a little advice/criticism on the 1500 list that I drew up this afternoon.
Sorcerer (Lore of Fire)
2x Warhounds x5
-Standard and Musician
What does everyone think? My train of thought for the Sorcerers is that the Lore of Slannesh has some really tricky spells for disrupting my opponent's battle line, getting his units in the way of each other, while also giving him the 3rd Eye to glean whatever spells my opponent might have to use against him if my Slannesh spells don't generate well or not appropriate for the situation.*He is to be attached to the larger of the warrior units for safety's sake* The lvl 1 is there with the Power Stone to threaten a Power Level 3 Fireball to encourage my opponent to hang on to some dispel dice. Plus, I can't wait to let that thing rip on a unit garrisoned in a building.
As for my actual units, that is all I own, and I don't really have the money to drop on more guys, just on a couple characters. I could re-shuffle the model distribution between units, but that's it. For the actual Sorcerers themselves, I was thinking these models:
Chaos Sorcerers | Games Workshop
So what do you guys think? Are these Sorcerers worth buying? or should I get a single Sorcerer Lord (and if so, what Lore?), or stick with combat characters? And are there any recommendations for shuffling my models around, or are they looking good?
Anyways, thanks for any and all advice, it's much appreciated.

I'm a little confused about the setup of your sorcerers (I reckon you might be missing some spaces because of a copy-paste into the post), but it looks to me like they both have more than one Arcane item, which is not allowed.
While the idea of the second sorcerer is cool, I would probably drop him for a Battle Standard Bearer to bolster your battleline.
The units look cool.
The marauder unit is perhabs a bit too small for GWs as they will lose models from the attacking ranks very quickly as it is. Since you don't have more models available, perhabs you should give them shield instead and change the mark to Tzeentch for another unit with the 5+ ward in combat? They wouldn't do much damage that way of course though.
I love the Classic sorcerer models you linked to by the way.
Holy crap, you're right, I have to rework those Sorcerers cause there are too many arcane items. I totally blanked on that rule. And ya, when I copied this over I put the unit list in two columns, so as to save post space, with a bunch of spaces in between, but they disappeared in the posting. Whoops!
So anyways, you think I should drop the lvl 1 Fire Sorcerer in favor of a BSB? You think I should put them both in the larger unit of warriors? And, given that he needs to change up his load-out, what gear would you give the Lvl 2? I like the Lore of Slannesh, and I really like the 3rd Eye to back that up, but beyond that I'm a little out of my depth.
But ya, those old-school sorcerers are pretty dope. I really like the one with the horns clutching the sword
Ok, I edited my above post so it's not all weird trying to look at it

The problem with this points level is that if you run 2 heroes, either they are both slightly cut down versions of what you'd normally like to run, or one is almost naked in terms of equipment etc. If you want to use all the models you own then spending points on a lord also isn't really an option.
Fielding a decently equipped (in my opinion) BSB will cost in the region of 195pts, and thats without any gifts and no mount (Mine costs 231pts for example). If you want to run a sorc as well at this points level, you dont have a huge amount of points to play with.
With all that said however, I'm of the opinion that the BSB is worth his weight in gold. Even though we are a highish leadership army with rerolls of panic with WotG, my BSB has saved my bacon quite a few times thanks to the reroll.
Regarding your question about using a Sorcerer Lord - I like the shadow lore from the BRB. The Hexes and Augments are brilliant.
I take it your warriors have been put together with HW and Shields? What about the marauders? Are your gaming group bothered about WYSIWYG?
Can I ask, are you stuck at 1500pts or was this a tester list to see what you can do with your models?
Lastly, I prefer not to run champions in my units unless the unit will house a character, so if you plan on bunkering both characters in the same unit, you could save some points by dropping the other champ.
For the time being these are all the models I am going to have, so I will be stuck at this point range for a while. I am converting a couple walkers into Hellcannons, but I still need to buy the chassis, which is going to be expensive and so will take a while.
As for what I have my troops armed with, the only ones I have fully assembled yet are the Knights. Everyone at the shop are totally cool with me leaving the weapons options off my blocks while I get my feet under me, so to speak. As for why Tzeenchian, I have only played to two games so far, but they have performed spectacularly. Against a HE gunline (1000 points he had about 20 Phoenix Guard, 2 units of archers, and 2 RBT) and they did pretty good, and then ruined an O&G player a couple days later. Maybe I'm getting a little stuck in a rut, but I really like how durable they are. Although I do plan on eventually doing an XHW, Banner of Rage, Festus unit.
And yes, this largely was a tester list. I feel really hampered at 1000 points and am anxious to ramp up the points limit so I can get some of the shiny toys into my games. I have a fairly good grasp on most rules so I feel comfortable getting out of the low points limits. Although I must admit, the transition from 40k to Fantasy has been more difficult that I had initially thought it would be. I'm always forgetting things like Charge Reactions
The reason I was asking about whether you're tied to 1500 is that i think with the addition of characters you have the potential there for a 2000pt list, or if not, certainly a 1750.
Tz is good, I use it as the basis for my armies too, with some Khorne thrown in for hammers.
If you can up your points then I'd definitely recommend a BSB with a Sorc Lord, or an ordinary sorc if points dont allow.
Ive just done a quick tester list with your models plus a mounted bsb and a sorc lord on foot, and I got 1999pts but assumed max points for magic items for the sorcerer lord so I didnt actually build him as such.
