next week i have to play against daemons for the first time
and i have no idea how to approach them!
should i bring a lvl 4 or just a lvl 2 and take a CC lord?
what lore is good against daemons and where and for what should i look out?
good things against daemons? leave trolls home prolly, take knights and chosen?
wulfrik, festus or some other named chars that are awesome against them
just need a lot of help and advise for building my list!
thx in advance
Well, a few things that might help:
1. There are two kinds of Chaos Armor that resist killing blow, those help a lot.
2. Other Trickster's Shard is good against Demon wardsaves.
3. Marauders with Khorne/Flails work well [immune to psychology too] and they are cheap.
4. Direct Magic attacks aren't that good, but hex magic works nicely - so try Lore of Shadow.
Sona si Latine loqueris.
what to do against his greater daemon? he'll probably take one of slaanesh or tzeentch i guess...
go hunt him down? but with what? or just try to kill him in the magic fase?
Khorne Knights should do the trick units-wise with a bit of hex/buff help.
A combat lord can also take on the big nasties pretty well:
Talisman of Preservation
Helm of Many Eyes [since he is stupid he is immune to pyschology too]
Killing during magic phase is unlikely as all greater demons have ward-saves and good stats. Hex/Buff magic will help more I think.

should i give my warriors of khorne add hw or halberds?
does that trick with the chosen and shrieking blade work? (think so, why can a champion otherwise influence a eotg roll for a complete unit?)
are flaming attacks needed?
any other changes i should make?

You can give him the Shrieking Blade. but it will not help you influence the roll for the unit.
You get to re-roll with the champ, but not the unit. Since he is not the majority (more than half) of the unit.
If anything, I'd drop the champions and the shrieking blade, for the Wailing banner. But then again the unit is rather small, so it might just rack up points for a unit that might disappear fast.
You could also join the knights into one unit, saving points from one command group and mark.
The sorcerer, I feel is a bit of a jack of all trades (master of none).
I would either focus on his own magic or the enemies magic.
I could also suggest the Infernal Puppet, very good item!
You also have a lot of points which you really don't need, all tied up into this list. For example- 39 Marauders for your Wulfrik regiment. Drop 10 of them. You're coming in on a flank or rear of the enemy regiment, they won't be piling many attacks, and you're not even sure if this regiment will make it to combat. 29+Wulf gives you just enough men to Horde out and attack with all of them, without wasting points.
At 3k, you should probably combine your Knights. Give them Banner of Rage over Khorne, it's just 5pts more and frenzy can't be lost. This will save you points on your Command and your marks, as well as giving you a more survivable unit on the field.
Your BSB doesn't need a Necrotic Phylactery. Yeah, it's cool against some spells and makes you immune to Poison and Nurgle (from the WoC book only though), but it's not worth the points when you could be using those points elsewhere. Just drop it.
On your L1 Sorc, drop the Spell Familiar (or keep it) and boost his level. As Maximus said- if you want to make the most out of 3rd eye, drop the Spell Familiar as he won't be needing his own spells. Otherwise, keep the Familiar and drop 3rd Eye (or move it to your L4).
10 Chosen is not nearly enough, especially against Daemons. If need be, drop Warriors to add bodies to your Chosen. You should already be removing a Warrior from any regiment that will be escorting a Character, just to save the points- the gap will be filled by your Characters. Keep your Champions in any regiment joined by a character. If anything, drop the banners. Just because you can, doesn't mean that you have to take one. Champions however, can take challenges in place of your Casters. This is very important when you have a nasty enemy character breathing down your neck.
Your list is also 8pts over. If I were playing against you, I wouldn't let that stand. The PV of the game is the limit, not the target. You don't have to land right on 3k, but you can't go over. You'd be disqualified in a tournament.
