Welcome to Librarium Online!
[EDIT]: As Tashin pointed out as softly as humanly possible, my previous army here was, in my own words, "FUBAR". So I've made some changes to try to get more in line with the actual rules of the game instead of just what I'd like to do myself .
Tried something new last night. A Sorceror Lord as general with two other sorcerors as backup, only bare minimum fighting units.
1. Sorceror Lord Constrax, Commune of Tzeentch, 425pts
Lvl 4 upgrade
3rd Eye of Tzeentch
Book of Secrets (Death spell for sniping) - Now Armor of Damnation
Power Familiar - Added to other Sorceror, removed from this one
Golden eye of Tz (for avoiding DE crossbows)
Disk of Tzeentch
2. Sorceror of Tzeentch, 230pts - Now 195 pts
Disk of Tzeentch
Lvl 2 upgrade - Don't need it, can't have overlapping spells
Collar of Khorne
Blasphemous Amulet - Power Familiar
3. Sorceror of Tzeentch 230pts - now 195 pts
Disc of Tzeentch
Lvl 2 upgrade - Again, not needed
Skull of Katam
4. Chaos Warshrine 160pts (Not sure this is the best use of points here)
MoN - Got Rid of this Altogether, wasn't too happy with it in the first place.
4. 40 Chaos Marauders - 250 pts
5. 10 Chaos Knights 525pts
Standard of Wrath
6. 20 Warriors 425 pts
Great Weapons - Changed to halberds, cuz it makes more sense.
Anyway, I am interested in any advice! Thanks in advance!

Im not the best Warriors player out there, but I'll give you my thought anyway
Comments in red.
lol.. no, wasn't trolling, and just meant vanguard in the tactical sense, not actual rules sense.. basically they'd be the first into the fight... I'll have to re-read the rules on Marks FORCING you to use their lore.. I just thought you couldn't use their lore unless you had the mark. The two items from same category thing is a rule I'd missed, so ... oops there. I will admit to making this up half an hour before the fight, so I didn't exactly get a chance to double check everything.
[Edit] Wow.. I think I'm gonna take the thread down now. This army be ALLLLLL screwed up!

No worries, man.
Im looking forward to seeing the reviewed list you'll come up with
Alright, new army posted. Let's see if this fixes a few things.
Also, my book doesn't say anything about the Book of Secrets making your sorceror a lvl 1. Does it say that in everyone else's?

So with my newly adjusted army. Any comments? I'm not sure that relying on magic as heavily as I was is such a good idea anymore. Does anyone else have any suggestions for a 2k army with magic being the base/backbone?
A lvl4 shadows mage with Infernal Puppet and Charmed Shield. Or Heavens for a more all round lore. Shadows is great in conjunction with combat troops.
A lvl2 Tzeentch on disc with the 3rd eye for spell stealing, and a scroll.
A BSB is pretty mandatory, but if you give him the BoS you have another caster. (or give it to the Chosen Champion).
Good items to have in magic heavy:
-Infernal Puppet, you will miscast sometime so better reduce the fallout. Also epic when used offensive.
-Power Familiar, another power dice for when you roll crap for the winds.
-Channel staff, it doubles your chances of channeling an extra dice. Remember it's also for the Dispel dice!! and that is what makes it powerful.
-Third Eye of Tzeentch, steal spells? yes please.
A scroll is always good to have.
