Welcome to Librarium Online!
After trying out different marks and combos i have finaly decided that tzeentch is without a doubt the best mark in the codex
after playing a few games recently i have just seen how good tzeentch can be and finaly think iv got a hard as nails list as iv yet to loose a a game with it
The lord just refuses to die while the sorcerer lets the opponet spend all those points on a lvl 4 wizard and then just steals all his spells while at the same time has + 3 to cast
Word of Agony
Axe of khorne, talisman of preservation, luck stone, Charmed shield
Ogre Blade, Enchanted Shield, Favour of the Gods
(I know he inst mark of khorne but i wld rather have the +1 attack than a 6+ ward save)
Infernal Pupper, Obsidian Trinket
MoT, full command, shields, Blastard Standard
MoT, full command, shields, halbers, razor standadr
MoT, full command, Banner of Rage
This comes to 2386 points
the lord goes with the knights (i know he has no look out sir but with ignoring the 1st hit on a 2+ and with a 3+ ward he shld be ok)
What do you guys think
I am tempted to take MoT off the knights but if i do it wld only give me 45 points to spare so i dont see much point
What would change in this list
Im trying to make everything as cost effective as possible so if you have any suggestions it wld be very much appreciated
2400 seems a pretty odd total but whatever.
The lord looks pretty dangerous but you'll have to drop the luckstone ("Magic Items-Balance of power")-you can only have one of each category of magic item.
Personally, I'd ditch the daemonic mount. They're nasty but it's an expensive way to lose the ability to join units. And if he joins the knights he'll get their fear. And their shooting protection could allow you to save points on his protection.
The hero could use a steed.. this way he and the lord could accompany the knights or the warriors -I understand a normal cavalry mount can join infantry. If you dropped his other magic items he could carry the blasted standard and protect whomever he rode with. He, the lord and eight knights bearing down on a shooty army would be awesome.
I like the sorcy, I might try that combo myself.
2400 points seems to be the point tornament use for some reason
Word of Agony
Axe of khorne, talisman of preservation, Favour of the Gods, Charmed shield
Ogre Blade, Enchanted Shield, Luck Stone
I could put the hero on a steed and have him with the knights but there is no point tbh as it will just be overkill in that unit
I want to put him with the halberd warriors and use them against enemy armour (other chaos knights, blood knights etc) as at S7 and armour piercing he will kill anything
The lord could go on a steed and tbh i think i might, it just means he can be killing blowed although he does have a 3+ ward
it was just 1 game where i lost him to a dark elf cross bow man with killing blow which made me put him on a demonic steed
I might put the bastard standard on the knights instead of banner or rage as people are going to see the warriors and the knights and decide the knights are closer and so shoot them, however i am kind if using the knights as a very expensive distraction. if they shoot at them it means they are not shooting my warriors, if they shoot my warriors then they are not shooting my knights which will be in combat 2nd, maybe 3rd turn. if they do shoot at my knights they wont kill all of them in the 1st few turns so when they get down to 1/2 knights, they run behind a building and deny 430 points
2400 because that makes 600 points for lord/hero/core/rare. Pretty logical if you ask me.
I prefer my 3 eyed caster on a Disc, because that helps me with line of sight and getting in range for some spells.
Your BSB is not very durable, I would get him; MoT, 5+ ward item, the Immunity to Killing blow and poison armor, and a halberd.
In a unit with the banner of Rage if you want the extra attack.
If he is the only frenzied one in a unit, he can be lured out on his own. Which would suck.
An awesome item for such a large unit of Knights is the Rangers Standard. Watch your opponent hide behind woods, and now watch him while you plow through them! (both the woods and his unit! ).
You don't need frenzy on such a unit, it would hinder you more than it would help against a smart opponent.
