Made this list for a tournament that I'm starring in that has an o&g, bret, and Wood elves
I mainly worried about the woodelves and their treekin/bow of loren armour avoiding monstrosities
Let me know what you guys think
Lord Sorcerer- Lore of Death,
Third eye of Tzeentch: +4 ward save vs ranged and magic missiles
collar of khorne: 6+ ward save and +2 magic resistance
infernal puppet: can add or subtract d3 from any player's miscast roll
Conjoined homunculus: can add d3 to a casting roll but must roll for stupidity next round
Mark of tzeentch: adds +1 to existing ward save
disc: flying mount, flaming attacks, fear
Exhaulted hero: Battle standard, halberd 139
30 warriors of chaos- Halberds, shields, MoN, Banner of Rage, FC 605
41 marauders of Chaos- Flails, MoK 255
6 Trolls (Core because of Throgg):
Chaos Warshrine- MoT
Well, I do see some issues right out of the gates. As a composition thing, if a Sorcerer has a Mark, he must use that lore. So in this instance, your Sorcerer Lord has to use the Lore of Tzeentch. Secondly, the item that gives the ward vs shooting is the Golden Eye of Tzeentch; the 3rd Eye allows you to steal spells. On this note, what is the Golden Eye and the Kollar of Khorne doing you that the Talisman of Preservation couldn't do for 5 points less? Yes, you loose one point of wardsave versus spells. But that is it. If you suffer a miscast, or the feedback scroll, or what have you, you only have the 5++ from the Kollar and MoT. Instead, the Talisman of Preservation gives you a constant and immovable 3++.
On another note, your BSB is going to get eaten alive. He has noting to keep him alive other than a 4+ armor save. He is going to hit combat, get singled out, and killed in a big old hurry. You may want to invest in a little gear to keep him on the table.
One final note is that you have very few units to deploy, and so will get out maneuvered in the deployment phase pretty regularly. You may want to consider juggling some points to get hold of a couple units of Warhounds to use up a couple deployments. Plus, if you ever face Night Goblins, they are worth their weight in gold because they allow you to force Fanatics into the open and can subsequently charge to kill them. Who cares if they kill 30 points of dogs, you saved 45+of warriors.
Anyways, I hope that isn't too harsh. Let us know if you have questions.
Thanks so much for your reply.
I didn't realize that about the mark of tzeentch, oh well that'll have to be changed. I also didn't know about the talisman since I'm brand new to 8th, that's a great item.
I don't think I can put anything on the Bsb because he has a a standard banner can I? At least nothing magical.
Dogs, I've heard, are useless in this edition because of the rule changes. Then again they might have been good for anti-artillery
It double posted and I'm not sure how to delete it so I'll just add more.
How should I form the trolls? In one rank of 4 and one rank of 3?

Only if he takes a magic standard - ie - banner of rage, razor standard, etc. If he's just a straight up bsb than he can use up to the normal 50 pts. A typical lay out for a cc bsb would be either the tal of pres or the armor of destiny with a MoT. You will also see a set up for a spell casting bsb but I prefer the cc load out.I don't think I can put anything on the Bsb because he has a a standard banner can I? At least nothing magical. You are going to literally see one person saythey're worth their points no doubt and then some and in the very same thread someone will say they're the worst and most useless unit available to us. It's all about how you play and what you expect out of them.Dogs, I've heard, are useless in this edition because of the rule changes. Then again they might have been good for anti-artillery
I will drink your milk shake! I will drink it up!
I just bought my wife a mini-van, the gods of Chaos have nothing on reality.
