This is a friendly list I put to together awhile back but stuff kept me from building. I have now started to work at it for real and tought I would post it here for some C&C. The lord will probably get a diffrent magic weapon. ANy Ideas on the remaining points?

I don't think you have enough MEAT in this list. There is a lot of 'flashy' stuff but no real 'oomph' to do the knock out blows, at least not for 3000pts anyway. Your Core is tough but isn't killy enough to carry the day against enemy units and that leaves ALL the killing up to your Knight unit.
20 Warriors is a lot of warriors but shield warriors aren't very killy so don't expect them to kill things fast and eat their way through an army. They are also the biggest block in your army so will be eating magic and gun fire from pretty much the whole of your enemies army. Protect them with the Blasted Standard and maybe some magic resistance.
That unit of 10 warriors will be doing dick all. What is it for anyway? A mage bunker for the two Level 1's? you can do that for a third of the points with MoS Flail Marauders. Make this unit bigger, even up to 12, give them halberds, MoK and the Flaming banner. This can be your Monster unit killer and can help out your big unit of MoT warriors in fights where you need the extra high str attacks.
Marauders: These guys won't really achieve much either. Shield Marauders will barely hold their own against a Gobbo unit so their sole purpose is to hold things up in combat and, frankly, there aren't enough of them to do this. Make them bigger or ditch them.
Chosen: Just like your 10 man Warrior unit these guys wont achieve much. They can cause a lot of pain but don't really have the numbers to keep that damage up for more than 2 combats against anything other than goblins. I'd consider dropping this unit and using the points to make that 10 man warrior unit bigger.
Knights. Thats one BIG unit of doom and believe me, you're opponent will know it. This unit will be eating EVERYTHING from the enemy until it is dead. Spells, Gunfire, War Machines the lot. If you don't give the warriors the Blasted std give it to this unit and grab some MR on the unit to protect them from spells. You may loose the frenzy banner but this unit doesn't really need the extra attacks.
Without Favour of the Gods in your list this guy is just to random to be worthwhile. Grab favour on one of your heroes or ditch him. Sad but true
Lord, alas there isn't much a Lord can do that an Exalted can do for half the cost. Although in my opinion... a grand army SHOULD be led by a Lord as it's only fitting!!
Sorcerer Lord looks good however I'd grab him some protective gear. He's in your biggest killiest Core unit and that means this chap will be facing combat sooner or later and he really isn't tough enough to survive it!! Plus, why the crown of Command? If anything out ranks your warriors they'll be a horde unit and wont be beating them in combat, if they're an elite unit they wont be beating your on ranks so you'll be stead fast anyway. lus, most smart opponents will allocate attacks on him and just kill him off. Ditch it and get this boy a Ward Save!!!
Sorcerers: Why MoS?
BSB: Do you really think 10 Knights, a Lord and an Exalted hero will need +1 combat res from a War banner? These guys will chew through everything they meet in combat. What you need to do is keep the unit alive. So grab this guy the Collar of Khorne and your Knights will benefit from a nice juicy 4+ Ward Vs spells. Lovely. I'd consider putting him with the Warriors though. The Knights will be off killing things on their own so only your Knights will benefit from the BSB. If you stick the BSB in your Warriors you'll pass the benefits on to many more units and if you tool him up to be survivable he can take the challenges away from your Sorcerer Lord.
How big do you suggest I make the marauders?
*Rage* I just typed out a reply and my computer suddenly went 'back' a page and I lost everything I wrote! *sigh* Oh well............. here I go again.
At 3k I'd take at least 30 but preferably 40. Considering they wont be killing anything in combat you want them to be Steadfast for as long as possible and that means ranks. Most enemy units will be looking at having 5 ranks or more if they are a horde (by horde I mean Orcs, Beastmen etc) unit unless they are an Elite unit but then they'll kill enough to soon bring you down in ranks. So you ideally want 6 ranks or more to keep your boys in the fight. 8 Ranks will keep you fighting for ever and than means a 40 man unit. This gives you time to move your supporting units into place for flank charges.
However........ This does mean you are spending points to 'baby sit' this unit and that means this unit isn't really 'doing' anything for you but buying time for you. So, if you haven't built them yet, I would strongly consider arming them with Great weapons. You loose a point in ward save but the fact that you strike at str5 means you'll actually be pulling wounds in which will, generally, more than compensate you when it comes to combat resolution. Also, the fact that you can kill stuff in combat means that you don't need to be baby sat by another unit which frees up points and units to do other tasks. What mark you take is up to you but I would keep the MoT as this will keep some of your guys alive and keep you steadfast for longer. This will keep your Str5 attacks raining down on the enemy for longer and hopefully wear them down. MoK generally isn't worth it unless you're running them in a horde.
At 3k I run two units of MoT Marauders. Both are run with lots of ranks. The Great weapon guys ALWAYS out perform the Shield guys. ALWAYS. I support both units with 2 chariots and a giant.
I have built a few but think I can re do the weapons. Redone list. I dont feel like bringing Khorne since it dosent work Fluffwise. I ditched the Chosen for more warriors and Marauders and switched around the heroes gear a bit. I also dropped the Slaanesh marks on the level ones, made them death and gave em some love in the form of an additonal level each. The BsB Wandered over to the Warrior unit with the Sorcerer and will act as an bodyguard. All that you mentioned where things I had thought about myself so I decided to do most of it. I couldn't squeese any MR onto the Knights though. Anything I am missing with that?

Borak pretty much covered everything, I think you should drop the LA from the marauders and just bump the unit up to 40 rather than 30. A 6+ armor save won't really save you from much, and isn't worth the 30 points IMO. Khorne isn't necessary on marauders, but it does help. MoT works fine though. You could always give your lord ironcurse icon, this way your knights get some protection, and it's only for 5 points. 8 levels of magic feels like a little too much, I think you could get away with two lvl 1's, maybe one with death, and another lore for more diversity. Your BSB looks kind of vulnerable to me, what about armor of destiny and a halberd instead? Keep stream of corruption.
Hmm. I just realised that I am 9 points over on my lords, so I am thinking on dropping MoT on my sorcerer lord and grab shadow instead out of nessecity. I also boosted the marauders up to 40 and dropped the levels on The Sorcerer and picked fire instead. I am thinking of taking a better weapon on my lord if I dorp the MoT on the wizard.
you could take chaos runesword, ogre blade is nice as well...I opt for brute killy power on my lords, they're expensive! so I like to get as many deaths out of them as possible
I was thinking the Aether Sword myself to make me ignore Armour Saves in challenges which I want to end up in to kill their lords and heroes and earn rolls on the EotG. Which can give me extra Atacks/Strength but also a ton of other sweet tricks. Like MR or terror or additonal toughness.
