Welcome to Librarium Online!
Been lurking on the site for a while, Planning on finally getting to some painting so i thought i would make a post.
Tourny is 2200 pts, not much in terms of comp, few scoring changes (half points for 50% units/fleeing etc) I don't know if i am going to get everything painted in time, if not i will have to use some old warriors i painted when i was 12
My List: Somewhat inspired by an army Pinkus posted in the Battle Reports forum.
Lord Bmobrorret Sorc Lord on Steed of Slaanesh - LvL 4MoS, Puppet, Tal of Pres, Charmed Shield, Diabolic Splendor
"BSB" Exaulted BSB - Sheild, MOT, Dragonhelm, Endurance, Shrieking blade
Chef Tony Sorc (Lore of Fire) - Scroll, Enchanted Shield
The Meat Grinder 46 Marauders - MoK, GWs, FC
Will it Blend? 12 Warriors - MOK, AHWs, Shields, Std, Msc, Banner of Flame
RELEASE THE HOOUUUNDS!! 2x 5 Hounds
God mode on 17 Chosen - MOT, Halberds, Shields, FC, Favor, Blasted Std
"Cannon Ball Goes Here"Giant - MoS
Done so far:
His Metal weapon head kept breaking off and hence i have misplaced it. Will be replacing it with one from a knight.
I do have some pics of the unpainted stuff I will post later, no kidding my camera's battery died as i was posting this lol.

It looks pretty good, but there are a few things that I would run differently.
Firstly, What is the plan with your Sorcerer Lord? Is he running around all by his lonesome? And why Mark of Slaanesh? Don't get me wrong, it has some great match ups, but it also has some pretty poor ones. For instance, if you wind up playing versus undead or Demons, then half of those spells don't even work. I'm not saying it's a bad lore, but it does have some bad match ups.
Secondly, I know that most people, myself included, prefer to run BSBs with survival gear as opposed to offensive gear. To each his own, but I like to keep mine a little more secure.
And lastly, I just don't think that that is an effective build for the Warriors. For one thing, they are pretty damn small and it will only take a few casualties to cripple it. And AHW is not a particularly effective choice, although I understand that you might be limited by what you own. Hell, I know I am. But if I had to pick somewhere to get some extra points to boost that unit, I think I would drop either the Warshrine or the Giant, but probably the later. He is, kind of like the Lore of Slaanesh, hit and miss. On the one hand, if he gets into combat with a big nasty, he is going to ruin it's day. But he is also going to be a cannon magnet, and unless he keeps on rolling Yell and bawl, big infantry units will swarm him without much difficulty.
But dude, I really like some of the work you have done on your minis. The standard for the Khorne is really cool with the standard all being leveled at the enemy, and the BSB (I assume) has some awesome freehand on the banner. Nice work
Yes i agree the list is not Ideal, Tournament is next month so i wanted to use what i had painted where i could. The giant is already painted (not by me) and The warriors i had glued together before picking up the book/looking into anything. In hindsight I would equip them with Halberds. I feel i may not have enough time so i might have to swap out the marauders for another small unit of warriors (don't want to use them cause they're 12 years old and look like crap)
The sorc is a build i have been running recently against my brother's beastmen and highelves. I agree there are alot of useless spells in the lore of Slaanesh. Biggest thing is Hellshriek with the -1 modifier from Splendor, that has won me games on turn 1/2 before, but is very hit/miss (oops i forgot to list splendor, he is lvl 4 as well) and try to spam seizures every turn if possible. Frenzy/Illusions can be useful situationally , but like you said there are alot of units that will be immune.
I also normally run a more defensive BSB build, however i know there will be a player at the tourney with a nasty Vampire Counts list with lots of ethereals so i wanted to get a magic weapon in somewhere. Perhaps i could choose a cheaper weapon option and get a 6+ ward save talisman?
I have been considering swapping the Giant out for another Exaulted on a Juggernaut with a dawnstone build. Mostly because i want to paint the thing.

I do plan on green stuffing the chosen, the tac is temporary.
Ok, I see where you're coming from. But for the BSB, try this build on for size. Talisman of Endurance and MoT for a 4++, Dragon Helm and a shield for a 2++, and the Shrieking Blade so your BSB doesn't succumb to a leadership bomb fear test. So he has his Magic Attacks, but is also very survivable.
Alright - I tried to edit your post to get rid of that giant thumbnail (that sounds gross, btw) for you, and I realized that part of the problem could be the way that you're posting your pictures. Try hosting them on a sight like Photobucket or Flickr, and then linking to them with the tree icon, rather than attaching them.
Army looks good though, but I can't say I'm a huge fan of the list. Looks like you're a bit limited either way because of your collection, but I'd really try to get those 12 Warriors bumped up a little bit, even if that means you have to add in the 12yo models. I admire your stance that everything should be painted, but if they aren't judging on that category, I'd be sure to take the best list that I possibly could. Let's put it this way - 'Ard Boyz doesn't judge softscores because they encourage people to take the hyper-competitive flavor-of-the-week units. This tournament is potentially no different. Winning is first (in tournaments), and looking pretty while doing is just icing.
You could definitely fix up your units a bit. For example, unfortunately your marks are all painted on, but a Banner of Rage really wouldn't hurt that Chosen block. They're also not necessarily optimized - you could run a Wailing Banner and Favor of the Gods on them to really narrow down your options for Pre-game EotG benefits. For example, you'd have an 18% (don't quote me) chance of getting the Stubborn 4++, made even better by having another Shrine in the mix.
The difference between a Giant and a JugEx is debatable, since the JugEx can't exactly hide from cannons either. If you're not sure on the Giant, get him out of the list. Put anything else (except a Shaggy) in there instead and they'll probably do better than the Giant. He's great in certain matchups, and terrible in most others.
Finally, your SorcLord. Cool model, always loved the Boobsnake. BAD LORE TO TAKE! A lot of the armies are immune now, some of the other stuff is LD-based which can be difficult to pull off these days with all the BSBs running amok, and the rest of it's pretty standard. Personally, I'd make it a generic Sorc Lord on a Daemonic Mount, and give him Lore of Shadow. Call it Slanneshi if you want, I do the same thing - using a bird-headed Tzeentch Sorc for my Shadow Caster - nobody minds.
Finally, armylists should go into the Armylist section. I'll go ahead and move this over there. Good luck at the tournament, win glory for the dark gods!
I've ONLY have played lv4 slaanesh in 8th edition. Its the best lore in our book. So some armies are immune to 1/3 of the spells. Who cares? No one is immune to #6 and at a casting value of 12 none the less...
The lore is very versatile. And when you play armies NOT immune to psychology, the lore is down right broken. Pink Horrors/bloodletters/skeletons/zombies/demonettes are all dominated by #6. Then you can frenzy yourself any time you want.
I'm sure you can find posts I've made in the past about the lore. 8th edition only changed 2 things. Made getting off all 4 spells each round easier, and let's people reroll panics. I think its a boost in our favor there.
Nurgle is godly because buboes is default. Tzeentch is godly because of gateway and miscast/leadership spell. Slaanesh is godly, because it let's you be in control of the tempo of the game.
And that good sirs is why we're getting a new book. Our lore magic and broken magic items put us over the top. Dare I say we have TOO much synergy, that the book was written TOO good?
