    Very Competitive Fluffy - Gore Hunt List

    Hey guys I posted this a bit ago and started on it, then got sidetracked. I'm starting it back up again, and have painted a few models already. Could you guys review the army list and tell me any ways to make it more competitive? I want it to be as competitive as possible while still maintaining the fluff.

    Thinking of dropping the puppies for a hellcannon, but I dunno.. Love the puppies but really want a cannon! lol

    **Decent survivability. Adds some MR to the other unit of warriors that he will join. Fury of the blood god also serves a fluff purpose.
    Why no Tal of Pres? It would help with surviving and since he has MoK he's still plenty fluffy.

    Otherwise I don't see much to change. Obviously everything is MoK for the fluff so there's nothing to change there. The warrior units themselves are huge but I guess with MoK and halbs you're going to be expecting to take some losses.

    I feel like you could lose the Chosen block and replace it with a Marauder block or maybe keep the Chosen and replace one warrior block with a Marauder block. But that's jsut me.

    Yeah I originally said no to Marauders because I didn't want to paint that many dudes for this project. Also, didn't want naked Northerners in the army lol.. Fluff reasons you know.

    No tal of pres because of the fury of the blood god, seemed way to fluffy to pass up.

    You think I'm sacrificing too much competitive edge for fluff?

    I mean ... if you have you fun playign then who cares what anyone else thinks? I just make it a point not to pass up the 4+ ward save lol.

    Yeah I agree. I think this is the first list I've ever made w/o a pres tali lol.

    I'll see how it goes I guess. Might fore go the fury for the pres tali if I notice he keeps gettin whooped. At least I still have look out sirs.

    Technically you aren't supposed to post the point costs of all those units of hounds because people can figure out how much they cost per model Also I wouldn't drop the hounds for a hellcannon. With so much frenzy going on you'll need to keep them in the way of units so they can't run off and charge what you don't want them to. Dropping the warriors seems like a solid alternative, but I'd play test a few games and see how things go before doing that.

    I'm not a big hell cannon guy, mostly because I've not had much success with them. All the bat reps I hear about them make them sound like the bee's knees though, so maybe the dice god just hate me ...

    Right on guys. Okay ty for the advice! Sorry for the hound cost! I'll see how the warriors do before I drop any for the cannon. I just recently had a hellcannon munch a lot of stuff for me... Thing really is a bad ass monster.

    I went back over my list and found out it was off on points. I forgot to add the original cost to upgrade a model to a standard bearer, on top of the magic standards cost. Had to cut some wolves, and make a few other changes. Hopefully, it still looks good!
