Thx Lord Borak ! Yeah I know that MoN is not worth taking, the problem is that I have already painted and converted my poor WoC models to nurgle. Some guy told me that the next codex will remove the ward save for MoT so I decided to go for Nurgle. And I like the rotten team. So I have to live with the MoN ...
I have already sent in my list for this escalation match against the daemons, this is what I decided to go with. Probably a bad choice. This list will also play against dwarfs.
Exalted Champion, MoN, Halberd, Talisman of preservation.
23 Warriors, MoN, Halberds, Sheild, Std, Musician, Banner of Rage
40 Marauders, MoK, GW, Std, Musician
38 Marauders, MoK, Flail, Std, Musician
5 Horsemen, MoS, Flail
You suggested that I should remove the Exalted and only have the wizard with Shadow. In this Escalation League I play in the exalted hero gets bonus every time he is in the game. Right now he has +1 WS and +1 Strength. My goal is to maybe update him to a lord and then he have WS 9 and have glittering scale so the enemy hits me on 6. Don't know if thats a good plan but that is why I want to use him. Do you have any suggestion how to build a awesome Lord/hero? The lord/hero could get this bonus what should I take:
3 +1 strenght / Killing blow
4 +1 Attack / +1 Attack and Magical attacks
5 +1 Magic Resistance / +2 Magic Resistance
6 +1 WS och Bs / + Hatred and quick to fire
7 +1 Initative
8 +10pts max Magic Items / +10pts Magic items
9 +1 Toughness / and immune to poison
10 +1 Wound / immune to Killing blow
11 +1 leadership
You mentioned hellcannon, I have been reading about the hellcannon on the forum and many people says that it is better to get in close combat with it. I don't see why, it only has 4+ save. I don't see the greatness in it. But I see in armylist that many have them. Should I get one?
If you're stuck with MoN then that's cool It's not a bad Mark. In fact, when it works, it's amazing. Ws3 troops like Orcs, Ogres and Saurus are screwed over by it an if you are thinking of the future book then you might as well keep it.
As for hero/Lord builds there's billions of combinations out there so it's all personal taste really. The staple is a good ward save and everything else is just icing on the cake. As for Hellcannons. Should you get one? Do you want one? They're good but I don't have one as I don't like them so, again, it's personal choice. They are good in combat as they're T6, lots of Wound and unbreakable so they'll stick around for ages. Also they have a good amount of str5 attacks and a thunder stomp too. So the're pretty mean in combat. Although I can see them getting a nerf in that regard when we get a new book.
