    [2000] Mortal Nurgle

    Here something that's been giong around my head for a while, after I'm done buying the deamonic legion, I think I'll jump to mortal chaos, here it goes:

    Not being sure on the magical content of Nurgle armies I quite like the construction of this list. However there are a couple of small changes I would suggest.

    Fisrtly make the chaos warrior units equal in size, so as not to draw attention to the larger chosen unit!!
    I would also make the smaller unit of marauders have flails, as in a war of attrition they will get pasted. Use your marked units well. Fear is a powerful ally, make sure your fear causing units try to pick on the smaller weaker units!!

    The great weapons on the marauder are there to hit hard for a turn or two, untill the unit breaks off, and flails stay only 1 turn, but if you think this would be best, I'll see to it, saves 15 pts too.

    That is exactly why my units are uneven, to draw the attention away from the marauders to keep them from make too many panic tests, and I can't find the points to beef up the second warriior unit, suggestions are welcomed on that.

    the 20 man strong unit of warriors will certainly break anything that isn't immine to psychology, so I'll be placing them last to face off the thoughest unit my opponent can send at my, with a 2+ save they'll be hard to take down.


    I think the magic heavy side might not work with only 9 PD, should I trade the my lords & heroes for more brutish caracters?

    It all depends on who your going to be facing with this army, on wether the magic is neccessary or not. Maybe you could swap the mage (Lv2) for an aspiring champion?

    The Warrior unit of 20 is not going to stay that large if you don't protect it well!! I assume that you are going to use the smaller unit of marauders and warriors as flank breakers, that's why I said flails

    The way to make the units larger is to drop the chosen knights all together. They are likely to be magiced or shot to ribbons before they even make it to combat!! These points could bolster your units to 20 on the warriors and 25 on each unit of maruders.

    This will still leave you 50 points, so you could drop the mage lord and have a lord f chaos and 2 mages?

    They could be used as a screen!!! Place them in the front of your army to block line of sight!! That way you could march up to the enemy line without having to suffer too much damage.

    Screening was the intended purpose, but is 20 of them too much? Also only 1 CC caracter in the army, could this be a problem?

    So what if it is too much, you've only lost 120pts if they all die!!!! One close combat warrior shouldn't be an issue, as all of your normal warriors are hard as anyway, but I don't think you can afford to loose the magic defence, so don't drop the mage

    Do you have any friends who would let you proxy an army together before you start spending money out? That way you could play test the army first?
