Before reading the list, keep in mind that the game is on a 4x4 table with 1d3+3 terrain. The reason that I took the unusually high number of points in heroes is cuz all the other times I played on the table, more units didn't help, they just cluttered things. This way, I could achieve concentration of force more easily, I hope.
//Steed, Armour of Damnation, Biting Blade, General
// Steed, Great Fang
// Steed, Amulet of Chaos
x5 Chosen Chaos Knights
// Standard, Warbanner, Undivided
x5 Khorne Knights
// Flails, Musician
// 85 pts
Where did you get the cannon from? (is it from dogs of war). If your playing on a board with quite a bit of terrain try beastmen units. A beast herd can skirmish alowing you to easily movfe around the board and threaten your opponents flank. Since brettonians lance formation is pretty long, your opponent will probably find it hard to manuvere and turn (hes got loads of ranks), that i assuming hes using the lance formation....

beast herds will win the day for you, they can have munber and not get hindered but forests and the like.
Cavalry isn't very good in terrain heavy environments, unless fast like the marauders. five them thring axes they are fully wroth it.
As a brettonian player i can agree with that, i came a cropper against flanking beast herds- i killed a shaggoth and then got spanked by gors

I'll get a beast herd painted up, but mostly looking for a few quick things I could change now (game is soon, and before my order of beastmen will come in). Suggestions on items, unit config, etc, or putting in units I have (furies, screamers, heroes, mount. daemon)
What's a good-sized herd? I assume taking the minimum amount of ungors..
The screamers and furies will help you et ambushes and pincer attacks, giving you a great CCR.
If you need points for those, drop the cannon, (DoW I guess?)
20 is good in 12/8 ratio. or 12/6 for a 6x3 combat formation.
I would first of all say that small blocks of 5 cavalry will do nothing in direct combat with Bret Knights!!! I would make the following changes a priority.
1) Drop one or perhaps even 2 of the Exhalted champions.
2) Get some screamers, they are quick moving, and their slashing attack will annoy the brets, as well as stoping marches
3) Get some warriors, preferably khorne, to stand as a holding block of infantry, or perhaps a large unit of marauders with flails to soak up some damage, so you can get combat res.
4) Beast Herds are a great idea, use them wisely.
I hope that helps
