Hero: Exalted Champion of Chaos

Core: 10 Marauders, flails. (60 points)
Core: 5 Chaos Knights, MOS, Champion, Raptuous standard- (221 points)
Core: 5 Warhounds (24 points)
Special: Beast Herd, 12 Gors, 8 Ungors, full command (151 points)
Comes in just under 1000. Suggestions? Is there anything that is too weak in there? The beast herd takes the place of hounds in most other lists, as screeners and warmachine hunters. The knights are, perhaps, a little over the top. Should I ditch them for something else, and give the standard to the warriors?
Nice list and theme, slaneesh mortal is a rare sight.
The pendant is worth taking on a lord, models with only 2 wounds don't really use it's potential.
How about an amouir of damnation instead?
I would simply try to bump up the units of marauders to respectively 25 and 15, they are sensitve to shooting, and you want them to last as long as possible with full ranks.
The knights aren't worth taking untill 1500 IMO, they are a big investment, here's what I'd take without them:
Add light armour, musician, standard and 5 marauders to the 20 man unit.
Add a musician and 5 marauders to the 10 man unit.
Add the armour of damnation instead of the pendant.
Loose all the unit champions except the foe render, he is worth taking for that extra Leadership point.
5 marauder horsemen with flails and throwing axes.
I play a disproportionate amount of fear causing armies- VCs in particular. Also, at my gaming group the other gods are accounted for. And as somebody else started up a Cult of Slaanesh, I've decided to expand the mortals and make them an army in their own right.Originally Posted by Wolf_Pack
As to the marauder horsemen, I'm not really that fond of them (mostly because I prefer boxed regiments!), although I'll take your other suggestions into account, in particular about the Hero. Thanks for helping out.
If I were you, I would igve a try to the Horsemen, they can do wonders for you in most cases, they are fast, flexible, can easely mage hunt (throwing axes), warmachine hunt too and can hit hard on a charge. If you on't liike the price, simple use simple order some horses (3$ CAD each) and some foot marauders to convert them
