I would use an aspiring champion only as a battle standard bearer, the exalted is a much better choice, even if you end up with 2.
Are you sure you don't want to take a lord at 2000? the Leadership of 9 makes a big diference when it come to break tests (I know you don't panic, but the marauders will) and is combat skills are rarely matched.
Also some arcane items could help your 2 mages, and perhaps a good protection for your general such as an armour of damnation or gaze of the gods?
You could drop the knight units to 4 each and get 2 more units of warhounds for thier cost, they'll prevent you army from getting shreaded for SAD armies.
