This is a 3000pt Army of Slaanesh list that I've completed for friendly one off games at my local GW. Any advice would be appreciated. One of the things that has buied me in most games is my lack of shooting ability so I've done a couple things to try and bring that up.
Lord of Slaanesh-
Mark of Slaanesh, Steed of Slaanesh, Blade of Blood, Pendant of Slaanesh 333
Exalted Champion of Slaanesh-
Mark of Slaanesh, Shield, Berserker Sword 162
Sorcerer of Slaanesh-
Mark of Slaanesh, Level 2 Wizard, 2 Dispel Scrolls 190
Sorcerer of Slaanesh-
Mark of Slaanesh, Level 2 Wizard, Power Familiar 190
15 Warriors of Slaanesh-
Mark, Chosen, Shields, Standard Bearer, Champion 359
12 Warriors of Slaanesh-
Mark, Shields, Standard bearer, Champion 224
6 Knights of Slaanesh-
Mark, Chosen, Standard bearer, Champion 330
30 marauders of Slaanesh-
Shields, Standard bearer, Chieftain 200
5 Marauder Horsemen-
Shields, Standard bearer, Chieftain 99
Chariot of Slaanesh-
10 Chaos War Hounds 60
Soporific Musk 330
Chaos Hell cannon 270
16 Dogs of War Crossbowmen 128
It give the berserker sword to the Lord, not the hero. It's more useful if you have a large base, Like the steed of slaanesh.
I suggest buying a shield for the Lord too, he has nothing in his offhand.
The unit of 12 warriors is a little small, go for at least 15.
Why no musicians??? They're just as useful as any other command model, your units can break just as easily as others, you need rallying ability. And losing combat on a tie sucks.
The crossbowman are ok, but you shouldn't try to make up for a weakness, instead add to your strength. 16 men, a cannon, and 2 wizards isn't half bad though. I don't know how it'll work, but good luck with them.
A couple of reasons why I don't want to mess with my Lord.
1. For each unsaved wound the Blade of Blood does I take a strength test. If passed I gain a wound so my Lord could conceivably have 6Ws.
2. The Pendant of Slaanesh allows my Lord to gain an attack for the entire game for each wound he takes. I kind of have a never ending supply of Wounds and Attacks. This is going to make him very difficult to eliminate. This also makes the shield kind of ...meh.
So I set the Lord out on his own with a very fast mount and can use cover and speed to get at the enemy in a very quick and efficient way. I'll certainly look into the Musicians. I did once lose a tie to the lack of one.
The Lord still will have trouble beating whole units by himself - Static combat resolution +5 for a ranked unit, he has to kill 6 to win. But I see how the combo works.
Still Berserker sword doesn't work very well unless you either expect to only fight ranked units, or Ogres. Lots of Ogres.
Not only do musicians break ties, but they also give +1 to rally tests.
