Here's my tentative list for 2000 points; I havn't acquired any of the models yet, but I'm probably gonna order them next week. The playing environment is pretty hard - I played Chaos mortals before qutting, and wasn't exactly competitive. Sample of the competition would be such as Brettonian RAF, Skyre, Standard Skaven, Dragon Chaos Chariots, VC Castle, and Skinks / Southlands. The list seems difficult to tweak, maybe because DL is such a set-in-stone set-up.
1x1 Lord of Change
2x11 Horrors (Incl. Champion)
2x3 Screamers of Tzeentch
2x1 Chariots of Tzeentch
1991 points, Casting 8/6
Trade in the lord of change of a Daemon Prince and an Icon Bearer. More power dice to you and dispel at the same time.
Try to pump your screamers to 4-5 they'll be a tad more effective this way.
He is also a larget target, wich means he cannot hide. He will not provide enough spell power to full a sufficiant magic phase. Also a Daemon Prince is still a flyer, and can sneak around the table top with greater ease.Originally Posted by red120
I also find the icon bearer to be a must, you want to avoid your expensive units from poping up at all costs.
