2000 Pt Tzeentch All Cavalry List

Okay, I’ve played a bunch of games now and I’ve finally decided that I need 3 Army Lists. First, I’m going to make a Mixed List for just all normal battles. For most armies, the mixed list should help me accomplish my task. However, for major shooty armies (like that dern WE player I always end up facing), I want a really fast army list (All-Cavalry). I also face some non-shooters as well. For that, I have created an all-defensive army.

Below is my All-Cavalry List (2000 Pts):

    1 Exalted Champ (168 Pts)
    w/ Shield
    w/ Chaos Steed
    w/ Armour of Damnation
    w/ Sword of Might

    1 Exalted Champ (168 Pts)
    w/ Shield
    w/ Chaos Steed
w/ 50 Pts of Unknown Magic Items

    1 Aspiring Champ (96 Pts)
    w/ Chaos Steed

    5 Marauder Horsemen (125 Pts)
    w/ Shields
    w/ Throwing Axes
    w/ Full Command

    5 Knights (215 Pts)
    w/ Full Command

    5 Knights (215 Pts)
    w/ Full Command

    3 Chariots (360 Pts)

    5 Warhounds (30 Pts)

    5 Warhounds (30 Pts)

    5 Warhounds (30 Pts)

    5 Warhounds (30 Pts)

    5 Screamers (165 Pts)

    10 Chaos Furies (150 Pts)

    Total: 1997 Pts

    Power Dice: None
Dispel Dice: 2 (Yes, I know......)

Mongol General: Conan, what is best in life?
Conan: To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!

As this list stands, I'd be suprised if the WE player does not shoot it to little bits. Waywatchers get shots with killing blow, and then say goodbye to your knights.

Characters: Somebody needs a great wpn and the helm of many eyes, just in case of treekin, treemen. Also kill at least one character and field a scroll bearer, chaos can't afford those no-armor-save spells that some casters get. Unless you know the WE fields no mages, in which case they aren't using a major component of their army.

Neither Marauder Horsemen nor Knights merit banners in units of 5. They'll just get beaten in combat, drop the banner when they flee, and award 100 VP. Only ranked units should get banners.

10 furies makes me uneasy. specifically for glade guard, maybe.

Chariots and WOOD elves do not mix well. Too many opportunities to go plowing in a wood and hurt yourself. I'd drop some, and field more cav.

Look into the Beasts of Chaos book, the Centigors and beast herds will serve you well as screens/woods-clearers. and the large monsters will help your cav out. Especially against waywatchers, cause the monsters can't be killing-blow'ed

5 units of dogs... dogs are really good to screen, but mostly against war machines. Against normal glade guard bows, I wouldn't worry that much. I'd kill some and field more actual units.

The most successful and nearly unbeatable mounted chaos lord I have seen has this:
    GW
    Helm of many eyes
    armor of damnation
    gaze of the gods

in a unit of 4 chosen undivided knights with the warbanner.
That unit will tear through a fully ranked infantry with no problem. It is scary and near unstoppable. I notice you are not using a lord choice, and you wrote tzeentch yet you did not mark anything except having the screamers. You are running risks with all cav, but if you get them into combat fast enough and guard them smartly, which should be the plan, they will destroy.
