I played this army against Empire today and while he couldn't square off against me he made my life miserable with Fast Cavalry and lots of ranged attacks. He had a large unit of 14 or so cavalry and a special character he used as his general but he held it back to ensure he got the charge
The Fast Cavalry he was using I think was called outriders and I truely hate them...
Thanks in advance for any constructive critisizm. I don't want to buy many more model or leave too much of what I have collecting dust, I will list what I have on the bottom.

Well i saw that you have a unit of 10 nurgle knights personally i think that is a bad idea if you make them khorne knights itll cost less and they will have frenzy which is a great help. Chaos knights can do with the extra attacks.
hope this helps.

well, I had liked the idea of a fast powerful unit with fear, forcing people to run away and get run down.
It's a decent list with a lot of warriors, but I would suggest cutting the two units down to 20 each. With those points you could field a unit of marauders. I would also really suggest a couple more heroes. You are going to get eaten alive by an army with a moderate to strong amount of magic, especially since you have all of 2 dispel dice and no dispel scrolls. You should be able to handle most armies in cc with those warriors and chariots, but I fear you are going to have a lot of trouble against anything with decent magic as well as highly maneuverable armies. You need some more heroes choices to bolster your forces and take on enemy characters as well. Chaos has arguably the nastiest Lords and Heroes in the game, why not try to take advantage of that?
Firstly, welcome to Chaos! Truely, the fast route to power....
The challenge, I think with chaos, is finding the ballance bewtween brute power, and enough numbers. I think you have a little too much power here.
They wont run away, but the chosen Warriors of Khorne will die in droves. Only a 4+ save for such expensive models will hurt. I can imagine my reaper bolt throwers having a field day here.....:shifty: Give em shields, and just leave them with hand weapons. 3 attacks each with a 2+ save in combat will help HEAPS more than 4 attacks, 4+ save. And, yes, drop the unit to 20. Thats about 100 points there already.
The knights need to Khorne too, IMO. They bjust rock way too hard now. 3 attacks for the rider, 2 attacks for the mount. Take 7 in one line, and add the Warbanner, to make up for that rank. Cheaper, more attacks, and way better. I run 5 chosen knights of khorne BARE, and they still plough through everything in front of them.........
Id even change ALL you're marks to khorne, due to the lack of sorcerers. The dispel dice will help, and Khorne troops are nasty as hell anyway.
Then add some marauders and/or Beastmen (herd) for extra numbers. Both are good, if you could fit both, that would be way better.
Next, Id just drop the Hellcannon altogether. Soon enough, it may become Illegal/Obsolete to use, so I wouldnt invest money into it. Spend you rare choices on spawn, and then throw in a Daemon Prince for that uber close combat madness. These guys get pretty big too....
Your exhaulted champ is illegal. Cant have Enchanted shield and AO damnation. Changes in 7th ed rules....
Split the warhounds into 2 units of 5. These guys are best used as screens, baiters, or angling them slightly to expose an enemy flank when they charge. Theyll die in doves anyway, so treat them accordingly.
After that, if you needed points, the furies could be dropped down o 8, and do basicly the same job.
But i DO love the chariots. Mean as hell, love it.
The only problem i see, is if you opponent through a big beastie at you (assuming you dont use the Hellcannon. If so, ignore this..) like a dragon. For this, maybe tool up a Daemon prince with soul hunger, Ether blade, the one that gives a 5+ true ward, what you can to make him massive. Or, Take to Ex Champ to be mega defensive, so he can issue a challenge and tie the dragon up, while the static res of the unit he's with breaks it. Take something like: Gaze of the gods, Handweapon, enchanted shield. 1+ armour save, followed by a 4+ wardsave. Or, even, Handweapon, shield, Armour of damnation, talisman of protection. 2+ armour save, re-roll to hit against you (basicly a 4+ ward, if hes hitting on 4's..) and then a 6+ ward just in case. 3 saves aint too bad....
Oh, and some Marauder horseman will do you good too, to harry flanks, march block the enemy, help the furies hunt war machines, bait or what ever. I think they're a bargain.
Anyway, goodluck and have fun. The list you have is good enough just to put it onto the field, give it a go, and then tweak it from there.
I dont play chaos much in fantasy but i do know that making the chaos knights khorne instead of nurgle will be quite a big mistake if you are up against a cunning opponent. If your opponent is smart enough he can force frenzied units to charge into sacrafcial units ( eg zombies) and then go in with a flank charge with something a little harder and destroy your unit outright. Its your choice but Nurgle are easier to control .

I agree that your units are a bit big, and are likely to be outnumbered (by just about any army, maybe even ogres.) I would never take away the cannon though. While I haven't actually used one, I have heard from many people that it is well worth it, and it is the only artillery that chaos gets, so why not use it?
