...after alot of umming and arring, i decided to change from going all mortal undivded... and thus went with some beasts and screamers, i'd like any comments. It is the first list ive made, so it's probably gonna look aweful to you lot. But the ideas were to put in some cavalry (dragon ogres, centigors) with screens (warhounds) some heavy hitters (minotaurs, dragon ogres sit in here too) some flyers (screamers) and my base units, with the characters with an attempt to end up with a reasonably flexible start army to grow from...
so, over to you... pic faults as you see fit
I actually think the list is descent. However beasts in a mortal army count as special and with the screamers you have 4 special choices in 1500 pt game which is illegal. You can only have 3 at this level. You are playing undivided. In order to take a unit that is devoted to a god(i.e. tzeentch) you must have at least one character with that mark. So you need a character with the mark of tzeentch to take that unit of screamers. Another thing that I keep telling people, is that you should never ever buy champions for warriors or knight of chaos. They are way too expensive for what they do. This is what I suggest:
*Replace the screamers with 10 chaos furies. Drop the minotaurs and make both unit of marauders to 28 each. Make your sorcerer a level 1 with 2 scrols(this character is often refered to as a scroll caddy). In addition mount both characters on a chaos steed. With the extra pts add 1 warrior. Add each charcter into each marauder unit. The reason behind this is because warriors are great on their own. A character in a unit of warriors is going to be reduced to rubble by the enemy shooting. Becuase a charcter can't have two hand weapons when mounted, give your champion the enchanted shield so now he has a +0 save and if you have the extra pts, give him the sword of striking. Why you ask? If you face an army where there toughness is three you will now need anything but to hit and wound(considering your not facing troops that are of weapon skill equal or greater than the champion)
Hope this helps.

Wait, I thought that it was the other way around, where you needed a regiment in order to field a hero of the same mark...
Oh, and definitely remove the champions/chieftains, you only need standard bearers and musicians
It isn't the other way around. You need a character of a mark to field units of the same mark. Don't get rid of the champions from marauders. They will do something. They are cheap. Not for marauder horsmen however, they are a bit expensive as well.
:bookage 55 of the Hordes of Chaos Army Book, midway through the 6th paragraph in "The Chaos General" section says directly: " ...you may only give a Mark to a character if the army also contains a unit or chariot with the same mark (other than a spawn)."
Whoops, did I just break a rule there, quoting directly from the book?
your right. I was looking at something else. Sorry.
This list looks solid aside from the already mentioned folly with the 1 too many special choices..I would, however, make just a couple tactical suggestions that should really help you out: First, rid your Undivided General of his shield and extra hand wep, and give him a Great Weapon and the 30 pt first strike goodness of The Helm of Many Eyes (being Undivided will help him pass the stupidity tests). Second, put him in with your 19 Marauders for a solid Combat resolution stomping unit. Anything that charges this unit, hopefully a chariot, will get crunched by your Generals 4 str 7 attacks that go off before anyone else attacks... ...also, hide that sorceror into your unit of warriors...he'll need the most protection.
