"We are the Ultramarines," called Uriel. "And no foe can stand against us while we keep faith with the emperor." - Brother-Captain Uriel Ventris of the Ultramarines Fourth Company.
Despite the lord being on a daemonic mount, he can't join the mounted daemonettes (unless you take the chalice of Chaos).
I've not played Fantasy battles chaos for long, but i'm curious about the flails on the second marauder group. The flail bonus is only in the first round of combat, and with a group of 20 it seems to be one of the main blocks of this army, in which you will probably want staying power.
Secondly about the marauders, they cannot have the mark of slaanesh, that'll save you some points for something else.
The daemonettes I would assume are your supporting units, and i can understand taking 15 of them so in case any of them get whittled down you still have enough to not lose their potency in close combat.
Last, why put your sorcerer on a steed? Is this to make sure he has plenty of movement in case something nasty comes up behind you? I would suggest putting him in a small block of marauders so he can't be targetted by shooting.
First off i agree with everything that we are legion just said, ( this post is now a lot shorter because of him lol )
Another point, is that the bezerker sword is a good 40 points wasted... If you are going against ogres or something of the like, then ok its worth it, but against an army which has unit strength one each, its wasted. This is because the charachter wielding it only gets extra attacks because of the models he is in contact with, which is three or 4. If you want to pay 40 points for two attacks, then go ahead.
Also, get your points under 2000! one marauder less is two points under, which isnt a huge loss, eh?
Good luck, DE.
"The anatomy of your brain is more than your mind can handle. What?"
Vampire Counts - 3500 Points
Orcs And Goblins - 2000 Points
We Are Legion and DarkEagle both raise excellent points. I would like to add three others.
First, even with the mounted daemonettes, the army is pretty slow. Also mounted daemonettes can't flee from charges, so they lose some of the attributes of fast cav. It might be worthwhile including some normal marauder horsemen or warhounds to remedy this.
Second, the army is pretty vulnerable to shooting. Hounds and/or beastherds from BOC are good screens.
Third, 3 dispel dice is not enough in most 2K battles. I'd add at least 2 dispel scrolls, if not another character.
