What do you think? Before you say it is magic heavy [i do know that] will this really be that bad? It is probably more a disadvantage to me then trying to be cheesy. So any constructive critism?

    First thoughts:

Furies would probably benefit the list, to take out enemy war machines.

With all that magic, does everyone need MOS? You might consider diversifying your magic, especially for a few low level casters, to give you access to some more basic (easy to cast) magic missles, or the flight/bear's anger spells from beasts and shadow. Bray shamans can do well for themselves with bear's anger especially.

I like the marauder horsemen/spawn combo. Remember to charge-bait foes into your spawn!

    Cheers!

This is my updated list... I think my only concern with this list is; should i swap the non chosen knights for 3 dragon ogres? i think it would give the list a bit more versatility and the exalted would then join the warriors.

Well, I'm going to assume that the lower knights are not actually chosen. And then, yes, I would take 3 dragon ogres over 5 knights. More wounds, more attacks, same speed. Less armor, but eh...

Also, why does your second bray-shaman walk behind the herd? Doesn't that limit his line of sight and make him vulnerable to hill mounted missile weapons? Doesn't provide any advantages I can see...

I also don't know about the rending sword on the Champion. Maybe just +1 str, or the great fang? Most of the chaos weaponry always seemed overly gimmicky to me.

Thanks koosh, it seems like you are the only one that replies lol.

So drgon ogres are the go ey, sounds good to me, i thought this would add a bit more versatility and another hammer unit.

yer i am going to work out my characters exactly, i have 2 bray shaman models but i cant afford to fit a second herd into my list grrr.

where could he go? just walk on his own across the field?

I'm not aware of anything stopping you from putting 2 characters in the same herd. They could just ride around in the beastherd together, dishing out spells. They'd also have a pretty decent close combat wallop. Of course, you'd have a be a bit careful about letting it get destroyed, as the characters would make it expensive. But if you stick the whole unit in a wood, it'll be pretty resiliant as long as it doesn't charge out due to unruly.

I would just be worried of the point sink and the magic phase sink if the herd is ran off the table...

I haven't heard of unruly before, what is this you speak of? lol.

hmm. Go read up on your beast-herd rules. Should be near the front of the BoC book (I don't have the book or page reference on hand). I can't really get into specifics without directly violating GW copyright here.

I have just made a quick list change, to add in the dragon ogres on the second list.

I don't know if MoS characters can go in the Beast Herd - the beastmen have some funky rules than anyone else about marked characters and marked regiments.
