Ok, so, this is the second time I've waffled on this decision >.< and it could well just be because I have to wait for my new debit card to begin collecting my Fantasy army.
Currently my list includes a Dogs of War cannon for 85 points. But I keep waffling on if that's the right choice or not. I have 90 points total I could have free if I dropped the cannon, but other than hounds, what would you recommend putting into this list?
Lord of Chaos w/ Mark of Tzeentch, Halberd, Armor of Damnation, Barded Chaos Steed
Exalted of Chaos w/ Mark of Tzeentch, Barded Chaos Steed, Scimitar of Skultar, Shield
Chaos Sorcerer w/ Upgrade to Level 2, Dispel Scroll
15 Warriors w/ Shields, Musician, Mark of Tzeentch, Standard Bearer
14 Warriors w/ Shields, Musician, Mark of Tzeentch, Standard Bearer
14 Chosen Warriors w/ Great Weapons, Musician, Mark of Tzeentch, Standard Bearer, War Banner
5 Chosen Knights of Chaos, Mark of Tzeentch
15 Marauders w/ Shields, Light Armor, Musician
Obviously hounds could potentially be useful, as they seem to make a reasonable missile screen for a low cost, but honestly I can't imagine this army making use of war hounds of any variety. They just don't suit my image of it at all.
Any other ideas? Or should I just stick with the Cannon?
*edit* Wanted to add - this is my very first fantasy army as well, I'm pretty new to the whole thing. Just so people realize why I may not know a lot of the basics >.<
*Edit again* List editted with some suggestions taken. I made room for a 15 strong Marauder unit for my Sorcerer to hide in, which frees up a Warrior unit to take the Mark of Tzeentch >.> so I went up in Power Dice and in number of troops by dropping a couple unnecessary upgrades. (Fun as they did sound!)
Maybe I should just put this in the Army List section now that I think of it. >.<;

You should take a look at the Tzeentch lists in the army posts forum.
Right now you have 13 power dice which is a bit low for a Tzeentch army. You should be aiming for 15-19.
You also have very few troops so might want to look at some marauders.
90 points will get you X furies which is a perfect addition to any army.

Your army looks alright, although I'm not sure you need a lord in 2000 points, they are notoriously expensive, especially Tzeentch lords! You could get some Furies, but Screamers would be better, sadly 90 points isn't quite enough for a minimum unit of them. You could use the points to beef up your warrior and marauder units, as 15 models each isn't really enough, a single casualty and you've instantly lost an entire rank bonus.
Either way, you need some different units, three infantry and one cavalry unit doesn't really give you enough tactical flexibility, which you do need when facing a lot of other races (especially the tricksy ones like elves, and the annoying shooty ones like Empire and Dwarfs). Have you thought about a small unit of Beastmen to help protect your army's flanks?
"Peace, through superior firepower."
Six furies would be ideal for the points you have spare. They're a versatile unit, and certainly worth considering.

well first welcome to warhammer fantasy...
I've been playing for chaos for about a little over 2 years now and i can tell you my army has evolved over time alot.
I started with just warriors and a lord and a 2000 point list very similar to yours....
A lot of people would debate this but chaos warriors are just too expensive to field more than 1 unit of 15-20. For the price of 1 chosen unit of warriors you could easily get 2 units of marauders... Its still up for debate but i think most players use them as flanking units or support.. not the primary infantry block... instead people use marauders as a bulk of their force including me. I run alot of marauders because they are so cheap and have such good static combat res... alot of players underestimate their abilities... before even inflicting any casualties they already have 5 to their combat res... which most infantry blocks have regardless but with 5 or 6 str 5 attacks (flails) they can be nasty.. and especially when you run an aspiring champion with them for additional attacks.
As for adding more troops, id strongly recommend furies.. or flesh hounds, but furies is a better choice. This allows you to kill enemy war machines by the 2nd turn. which is vital to protecting your hard hitting units like knights.
Death draws near.
Thanks all. I just finished ordering everything; and I think I am going to experiment between Furies and Marauders to see what works best for me. Right now Furies definitely sound like a good possibility.
I admit too, that Warriors are probably not technically worth it points-wise >.> but in the end I had to make the decision between an army that was more likely to win, or more likely to look like what I wanted it to look like. Ended up choosing the latter, partly because warriors also keep the army costs low <'x'> (Useful when just starting!)
Appreciate the advice everyone, and thanks!
