Welcome to Librarium Online!
These guys are single wound mounts now. But they traditonally occupy a 50mmx50mm base. Has this ever happened before, and what mount rules apply to them? Are they more independant like they used to be, or does the single wound transform them into non-monstrous and give rider bonuses, become unhitable, etc. Thoughts?
Its probably the same as with Juggers: They still use the same base, but they count as standard cav mounts.

Yep, they just make their attacks but cannot be usually wounded.
It's stated in the book (page number?) , saying that they count as normal cavalry though they don't use a normal cavalry base.
It's better, it's shiny, it's warped...it's Chaos.
yeah they are exactly the same as juggers, i think GW is changing them from multi wound as before these mounts were pretty pointless, i dare say Pegasus will get the same kinda change for brets.
I don't have the Daemons book, I just noticed the change in the updated WoC list. And they don't talk about the change there, they just drop a stat line with 1 wound on it and leave it at that.
Thanks for the replies though.
it counts a normal cavalry mount, bonus save, as i said i think they are doing it to all the creature mounts smaller than a griffin.
So how much would each daemonic mount add to the armor save now? 6+, 5+, 4+ (Jugger?)??
All are just generic at the mo, only +1Sv for the mounting, nothing else as far as im aware.
nothing else at the moment anyways hopefully we will be getting less generic ones with the new book
I'm sure they will be back in the newer book, hopefully...
