Nurgle! Never say Die!
Tzeentch! Roll a 12 on the Eye of the Gods Table!
Slaanesh! I fail leadership tests more often than nought!
~With the new release, what is everybody putting on their new Chosen units?
Khorne: Extra attack, comes pretty handy when you charge with the great weapon. Frenzy Mv4 does make it a problematic unit though.
Nurgle: The -1 to hit against shooting is nice but that's about it.. the -1 WS in combat is only useful against Ogres and Empire non-swordsman core choice, being WS6 you are hitting almost everything on 3+ except Swordmasters, and most opponent will be hitting you on 4+ nontheless.
Slaanesh: Probably one of the more cost effective mark. Cheap and always dependable, so you dont fail that stupid Fear test when you charge.
Tzeentch: My primary choice for my unit of Chosen carrying the Blasted Standard. I want my Chosen to be in combat where they can rip apart anything they touch, so the 4+ ward save against anything made in shooting phase will ensure that I can achieve just that. The bonus 6+ ward save is still great, if you can save 2 Chosens with the 6+ ward then you may as well have paid for the point cost of the mark itself.
Anima Tactics - try it out!
I tried a Khorne unit and your right the Mv4 gets in the way big time. I put slannesh on them cause I hate failling that one fear roll.

Ive only played a couple of games with chosen within the army but i do prefer the mark of nurgle on most of my units, just because of the -1 in shooting which obv helps even tho most the time they have a 3+ armour save. Played against he a couple times as well and i think the 50/50 chance of hitting is worth the points rather then the extra attack which you might not get if you dont make a charge.
Edit: I'm mostly confused because I still don't fully understand the mechanics of the game... if someone could explain why the Frenzy (which I understand forces charges) causes a problem in movement 4, that'd be grand.

Mark khorn and halberds s5 3 attacks use a small unit of maurders with slannesh infront to keep them in line then go slash and slice
BLOOD, BLOOD AND MORE BLOOD!!!
How do you move the shielding units out the way to free your slashy units for a charge? Presumably, being heavily non-manouverable, it's rather a tricky thing to do. Or do you aim to have the screen killed before your fighting unit needs to charge?
With move 4 the marurders are dead to shooting on the way in if not wheel to clear the line, the marurders are cannon fodder nothing more. there survival is irrelavent.
