Welcome to Librarium Online!
I was wondering how big a base is required to make a war shrine? I tend to leave the pulling horses at home and just build a small station with different parts, and adding GS to the floor so i kan make some tiles/flagstones Do i have to use a chariot base or would 40mm*80mm be fine?
The link below takes you to a interview where a bunch of questions were asked about the new WoC.

for your question though the answer they give is here.
Q: What is the proper base size of the warshrine?
My understanding is that it's a chariot-esque model that plays like a monster. The kit for making it will be coming out next year as an option in the chariot box. That should really tell you everything you need to know.
Put it on a chariot base. The army listing tells you it's pulled by a horse, that there are people around it etc. A 50mm base is too small.
Anyone saying 'but it says it plays like a monster' is, to me, being cheesy.
So if the kit is coming out next year that’s great, I haven't seen it or heard about it so had/have no idea of its existence. Will be nice to have....
in the meantime its nice to have an excuse to have a HE lion chariot in an army I play.
I think the problem of having a 50mm base, rather than a chariot base, is in the flank arc - you reduce the amount of flank you have to protect. You also increase your maneuverability by some margin.
I admit it isn't much of a benefit, actually (I'm assuming a chariot base has a 50mm frontage?). Sorry if I sounded a bit aggro.
