Welcome to Librarium Online!
...How awesome the models are. I've been painting two units of the bad boys for about a fortnight now, and I love every bit of them, especially the shields. I can really go to town on the paint jobs and they look fantastic every time, to me anyway. Anyone else feel the same about the new models? Sorry for the random post, but I just finished a 5 hour painting streak, thinking I'd only been doing it for an hour or two, so I thought I'd share my obsession. XD
Two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.
I can just agree with you. When I opened the box, I spent a long time just staring at the sprues, checking them out at different angles, imagining how I would put them together. Then I put the sprues away because I had other stuff to do but returned a few times to admire the awesomeness.
So to anyone out there who hasn't got them yet, get them. They should be in every collection whether you play Chaos or not!
Warhammer Fantasy: Warriors of Chaos, High Elves
Warhammer 40k: Eldar, Space Marines, Orks
Chaos knights got the best improvement of existing models. Not only are they better at combat than before, but they are plastic. A huge plus in my book.
If a Million Guardsmen die, that's a statistic. If one marine dies, that's a tragedy.
Bought a box of them just yesterday --- they're my first ever warhammer minis.
Just needs to assemble the riders, attach them to the steeds, and paint them. I gotta say, they are very sweet minis, details and all. I'd say its a money well spent. If only they'd box 8 of them for the same price . Oh and make the steeds less pointy --- they sting when I press them after gluing .
I to love the new chaos knights there great modals to own. When i first seen them they resembale the knights from conan the barbarian movie so i really wanted to start and Do ah army simliar to them but turned to nurgle in the processs.
The old knights were cool to but now i can really convert them with my chaos warriors which is even more awesome. I only 5 at the moment but i hope to end up with 10 to 20 in the end.
Total agreement. The chaos knight models are one of the key reasons I'm starting a chaos army! The knights, and the Khorne lord on the juggernaut. They blew me away, drew me in, and now I'm waiting on $140 worth of minis to arrive from Atlanta (via eBay).
Very noob, first-comer question:
If I fit my minis with a standard/halberd, they don't have to take them on the game, don't they?
I don't want to run my knights with standard/halberds but they look sooo sweet with them. Need help quick, cause I can't go on with gluing + painting them for now --- they're sitting in the box now, half assembled .

Hello everyone, been enjoying the info people have been sharing and thought I would join in. I am a he player mostly, but after the new book was printed though I would join a new army J
I do have one question about the new chaos knights, they look great but I am having problems ranking them up. Did anyone else find that they are a smidge too wide?
I would sya stadnard - yes - that is pretty WYSIWYG. As for the Lances/Halberds....nah - no issues if you were to play me.
I agree they look pretty cool with them, but as long as the unit was consistent, and you didn't have multiple units looking the same, but some armed with ensorcelled weapons, some with lances, I'd be happy enough - you would have to tell me up front.
