Its been pointed out that its perfectly viabull to have a pure cav woc army but I was wondering obout the viability of a nearly pure chariot woc army .
basicaly this would consist of
3 cheep units of marauder horsemen
4 chariots for special
up to 4 chrs all on chariots
thats about 2k
could have a warshrine or 2 maybe if you skimped on the chrs.
Now Im not saying this would be a good army to win with but it might be fun to try.
what do ppl think
This is my first post so dont be to harsh on a noooobe
When Charriots were CORE i did a charriot army, it was an Exalted Chimp on charriot and i think about 9 other charriots or soemthing. It was Brutal. Against some armies it was just devestating, Elves it just ran over like, well charriots hitting elves. The armies they didn't do well against were Bretonians. Their high armour and ward save and extra movement was just hard to get over. Lizardmen, those annoying skink armies of bordem and wood elf armies.
Other than that go for it. It'll freak your opponent out when you put down 6 or some charriots.
Use the Marauder Horsemen and chaos hounds to take down cannons and anything artillary like thats str 7 or more.
If you can it's always best to hit an enemy unit with 2 charriots just to be sure. Because you will inevitably roll a 1 for impact hits. (especially against dwarves)
Welcome to LO, majinga!
One thing I would definitely advise, is to not use warshrines in a fast army. The warshrines won't keep up, and will be useless.

i agree warshrines are best used if you consider using infantry. but chaos chaiots are hard as nails plus remember marks coz that could really help, but what ones to use? Hmmmmm ...............................
If you're going up against shooting armies then nurgle or tzeentch
Khorne is a bit of a waste and with charriots you'll be baited and then charged and that will kill your charriot.
Slaanesh is fairly cool if you are going up against that fear causing enemy,
Just because you can mark a charriot doesn't mean you have to though. For the points you'll spend marking up 8 charriots, you'd be able to buy another charriot.
Aye warshrines are a bit of a waste on charriots as they're already rock hard and for the same points you can get another charriot which will in the end do much more damage.
