Welcome to Librarium Online!
I've come up with two potential Lord combo's I want to use in my upcoming 2k WoC army.
Except I like them both equally, has anyone played ther lord like this?? I need some advice, ideas, critique.
Both Lords a designed for challenges. The way a Chaos Lord should behave in my opinion.
I'll be issuing them all the time anyway,
Lord #1 (327) He is about dragging the fight on, letting your opponent think they can win. Before mercilesly butchering them and getting out of the fight envigorated, stonger than before.
Bronze armour of Zhrakk.
Crown of Everlasting Conquest.
Pennant of Slaanesh.
Favour of the Dark Gods.
The idea is to let you opponent try to kill you, but they wont succeed.
They might damage you, but we want that. (Thats why only a 4+ save.)
Your immun to poison and killing blow, so we don't have to worry about that.
For every wound they inflict, you get +1 attack and do a automatic str4 hit on your opponent, plus we get to regenerate that wound! Now it's our turn to attack, 5 str7 hits, plus any extra attacks we might have gained. No one will survive!
Lord #2 (385) He is about winning before it has begun, not giving your opponent the slightest chanse of winning.
Mark of Nurgle.
Axe of Khorne.
Armour of Damnation.
Favour of the Gods.
Palaquin of Nurgle.
5 str 6 attacks with killing blow, with a 2+ armour save. Riding on a 6 poisonous attack beast.
If thats not enough, IF your opponent survives the barage of attacks, and lands a hit, he has to re-roll it.
I usualy construct my lists for tournements, even tho I hardly play them. I don't like to tailor my list to a specific enemy (except the bloody Dark Elves, crush them!).
Alternatively Lord #2 can be fielded as a Exalted Hero, dropping the Armour of Damnation.
What do you think?
I like the 1st one, i like the double hard B******* who takes a beating then clocks you one back after you making him angry.
Although i'm not sure they'd take the Str 4 hit if you regenerate it. Regen is a 'save' now so i think you'd actually have to take that wound to do the hit. But thats just off the top of my head i could be wrong.
Hmm. Acid Ichor occurs "after all other attacks are made". Pretty vague. That could be interpreted to mean before saves, I suppose ...
For the second lord, I might look into adding word of agony to him. You could take off a wound or two before the combat begins and then knock off the wounds left over to make it easier on yourself.
No, I don't have any wool.
The 2# one, why drag on a fight when you can already destroy the unit you're facing?
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day,Give a man religion and he'll starve to death praying for a fish
I'm with warduck, why prolong the agony? usually youi're outnumbered, so if the enemy gets a chance they're going to flank you and what if that's what they wanted anyway, because their enemy is just as resilient (pendant of Khalieth on my lvl4 sorceress gives me a 2+ward essentially)
I'm all for protection of expensive characters, but the WoC have some of the easiest ways to do this. They get a 4+ for free essentially. Mount them on a barded warhorse and even the sorcerors geta 2+ for next to nothing and are already T4. So give them regen or a ward save and let their sword do the talking. Protect them from Killing blow (which you have) and you're probably good to go is my opinion.
