Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hi I have been looking at lists on the forums and I have been noticing that most have only one unit of knights and maybe two. I play khorne and usually run three units of five when I play 2k and I use two units of 6 when I play 1500. Is is bad to use more than two units of knights? Also what do you guys use in your armies?
Use how ever many you want to. Knights are horrid.
In 3k i've got 36 in one army.
In another 3k army i have none.
It's up to you what you use.
Does it fit the fluff and the theme of the army? Yes? as many as you WANT!!!
when you say horrid do you mean for the opponent?
I think he means that they are horrid to the opponent. Seriously, knights destroy stuff big time. I absolutely love them. I will be using 2 units of them in 2250.
i use 2 units at 1000pts...

If someone helps you REP them...
There isn't a set number - any amount is effective so long as you have some solid strategy behind it all. 3 units of 5 Khorne Knights should be brought along with 4-6 units of Hounds for example.
With questions like this, your probably better of telling us what else you plan to use, and then it's a little clearer what the plan is.
with any of my other armies, if I see 3 units of knights across from me, I would think I pretty much have the game inthe bag. 3 units of knights, guarantees the rest of your army is small, meaning all I have to do is kill a few knights, redirect them or block their line of sight and I've won the game. Knights have a hard time beating a fully ranked unit once they lose a couple of knights.
I use 2 units in almost every army 2k or more. I usually only vary whether or not I take 5 or 6 of them in the unit. If you are going to play them as Khorne though you almost have to allow for the points to put in the dog screens.
yeah i try and include on unit of five dogs for every frenzied unit i have in my army. is that good?
I do not use dogs to screen my warrior/chosen/flail marauder units if they are Khorne. I only ever use dogs for Knight screening, others may play it differently though. I just figure the shortened movement on foot troops lowers the overall usefulness of the flee/terrain trap tricks people use on frenzied units. Another trick is when I go Khorne on the knights I will go 5 always instead of 6 and make the dog pack 6 wide. The extra base on the screen can and will make a difference. With the extra attacks from the mark I more than make up for the lack of the extra knight, and the screen helps block if not draw fire away from the unit also helping compensate for having one less knight there.
