Has anyone got any advice for anrmy selection and tactics against lizardmen?
Any ideas what kind of army you are running? In terms of general tacticals i think chaos warriors would the best counter for saurus warriors. Lore of slannesh would be great for breaking the backbone of there leadership from waht i have read.
If your facing a monster army or asort i think some dragons ogres, chaos ogres and Knights would be a great counter against them and If you know your facing lots of of them mark of slannesh would go a long long way against fear and terror.
I can see nurgle would be great to against the skinks poison darts, Salamanders/razordons, Stegadon giant weapons to so its really getting to know your enemies list to figure out what marks to take. Best way IMO to deal with terradons would be a few magic missiles.
Hope that helps you abit and More of the experanced chaos generals should ofter there wizdom soon.
I'd agree on the slaanesh magic IF the cold blooded rule wasn't so broken, any tests you force them to make are almost gaurenteed passes anyways. I'd go lore of death or shadow on a sorcerer lord, and definetly use setups that are hard hitting and have solid combat resolution.

charge, don't be charged by stegadons.
I don't think there really anything different I would do. You'll want to get into combats on your own terms, as soon as possible. Watch out for redirecting skinks, your combat troops are better then most of theirs and you have everything you need to counter lizards, so they ought to be even battles. Give us specifics, and we can be more specific.
@Hurtinator, cold-blooded is hardly broken, try a 10pt upgrade that makes you not have to take any leadership tests.
Let stegadons charge your nurgle knights. You still get a 3+ save against impact hits and then they have to hit you on 5s.

Festus is pretty nails, ok well curse of the lepper is what i'd really take him for so any nurgle wizard but festus comes with that spell automatically. Making saurus Str3 and Toughnes3 makes a big impact. Plus if you cast this on skinks after two turns they're dead. Buboes is also brilliant for targetting those pesky hero's they have which by the way are generally rock hard in combat or are wizards of death. As for Quagmire, thats brilliant as the lizards Initiative is generally that of a fridge.
Shadow magic is brilliant, That pit of shades is brilliant as lizards are generaly low on the Initiative so die pretty easily.
I'd add mroe but works calling...
To be continued!....
if your playing enough points for slann use, I would recommend taking a sorc of tzeentch. They don't ignore miscasts anymore, so making them have trouble with all those dice they roll is a good idea.

Except that if you spend those 10 points on mark of slaanesh then they are missing out on better upgrades infavour of just staying where they are supposed to be.
Cold blooded on the otherhand is an army wide rule enabling you to pass all leadership rolls 90% of the time, I'll trade you that for mark of slaanesh any day of the week.

that's a big of an exaggeration is all I'm saying. LM pay for cold blooded in many other ways, too numerous to mention here in the wrong forum. I'd love to pass all my leadership tests 90% of the time, which LM rules are you using? Average LM leadership is 7, with coldblooded, you're effectively an 8.2, not quite 90%. There are still several units that are leadership 6 and some that are 8, but 90% is a misrepresentation of the truth and is anything but broken and it doesn't work if you're outnumbered and the enemy causes fear.
This was (roughly im doing it from memory) the list I faced
Skink priest lvl2 (+1 for engine) on engine of the gods and 2 dispel scrolls
Skink priest lvl 2 with dispel scroll
2 Units of 15 saurus
1 ranked unit of skinks with 2 kroxigor
3 units of 10 skinks
1 unit of 6 chameleon skinks
