Sunday next Iím going against a 1000pts dwarf army. I havenít got any experience fighting a dwarf army so I made this topic to ask for your advice on what to look out for, and what course of action I should take.
In recent games in our tournament he brought something like this to the table:
-Thane (shield, 2 runes)
-Warriors with shields and full command
-Longbeards with shields and full command
-Thunderers (with shields?)
-Cannon with engineer
My own army exists along the lines of:
-Exalted champion of Khorne on Juggernaut with rendering sword
-5 Khorne marauder horsemen, with full command (and light armour)
-5 Slaanesh marauder horsemen, music and light armour
-5 Tzeentch Knights + Blasted Standard
-3 Dragon Ogres
So my question to you: What should I look out for fighting his army? I donít think the cannon can do that much harm (as long as I donít offer a broadside), but I do fear the organ gun. Any tactical advise on how to tear his army apart, while keeping as much of my units alive?

i love dragon ogres , excellent movement, strength and toughness but in a 1000 point army you could have so much better removing these will free up 195 points and get rid of comman group on your horsemen which will give you 36 points (also you dont need MoS they have nothing at that lvl to cause you to flee)
So you have 231 points id advise you to take 1 unit of 5 chaos knights
anyway seeing as you might not have these omdels ill help you with tactics for your army atm
take MoK of your marauder horsemen these are your machine killers so you dont want them running of into his thunders
screen your knights and dragon ogres with the hounds then charge with them when close enough (thats the ogres and knights btw)
if you can challnge his thane with whatever you can you should easily beat it. by the time you get the charge in you should have your marauder horsemen near to his machines

I would send the dragon ogres down one flank and the khorne marauder horsemen who should have flails down the other flank. The tzeench knights should go down the centre. Shield the DO and knights. It doesn't look like he has much magic defense so a sorcerer with a power familiar and book of secrets could be a good replacement for the exalted (but I like him too just think that magic could do more).
Daemonic cheese-how? Well, you would need to start with daemonic milk, i guess...
I would drop the commands from the Marauder horsemen, and give them flails abd MoK them both. These make for very hard hitting fast cav units. I'd send a Marauder horsemen unit down each flank to hunt for warmachines then flank if they are still alive by then, send the DO's and Knights down the middle with warhound screens. It's a fast army, so that will help a ton.

Thanks for the tactics I'll make that two units of MoK marauders (flails are already included, forgot to write that down in my earlier post).
Anything I need to look out for with his dwarves?
